Pet care experience
Under my care, your dog(s) will have my undivided attention. I have years of experience playing with, raising, walking, feeding, grooming, medicating and loving dogs. Among the hundreds of dogs I've met, almost every dog immediately likes me. After permitting myself to be thoroughly inspected, I generally cement a bond with an ear or butt scratch. I am looking forward to meeting your dog (or dogs) to walk or to care for in your home. I am comfortable with all breeds but walking a dog who seriously outweighs me probably limits the size of a dog I can safely walk. However, I can do home care for very large/giant dogs as long as you have a fenced yard. Breeds with whom I've had extensive experience include boxers, miniature schnauzers, Siberian huskeys, shih-tsu's, golden retrievers and pugs. Along with my former partner, I also fostered 2 litters of newborn puppies (total of (9)) for three months. I have taken extensive dog training classes, including classes for dogs with behavior problems and abused dogs and have learned the correct handling of dogs with these kinds of experiences. I also have years of caring for dogs with medical issues. So, if you want someone whose primary job responsibility is caring for and loving your dog, I could be that person.

Cathy is one of my neighbors, and one of the most knowledgeable, loving and responsible Dog Moms I have ever known. She goes to great lengths to make sure her four-legged kids are happy and healthy. For example, her 14-year-old Schnauzer sometimes has trouble walking, but she makes sure he still gets outside by using a small stroller. This, to me, is indicative of the depth of her love of not only her own pets, but of all animals. I completely trust Cathy to take care of my dog, and can say with full confidence that anyone would be lucky to have Cathy care for their pets.

Before caring for you dog(s), I want to meet your pet and see whether both you and I are comfortable with me caring for your dog. If you conclude that I am an appropriate match for your dog, I would want to know the details of reaching you, the dog's feeding schedule, specifics of what's to be fed, instructions on separation if two or more dogs, medication details (if any), veterinarian's name and phone number and any strong likes/dislikes/anxieties that the dog might have. In addition, I would want to know what things the dog(s) likes to do and anything that alarms/upsets the her/him. I want my visits to meet both the your expectations and dog's needs. We would also establish the number of visits/day that I would do.
A typical day
I enjoy walking dogs in areas what permit them both exercise and lots of doggie sniffs. The "where" depends on your neighborhood. I have walked dogs on downtown sidewalks, in the roadway for streets with no sidewalks, quiet neighborhoods, etc. I love taking doggies to parks, including dog parks. I have thrown endless balls, jogged with dogs and permitted dogs off leash in appropriately fenced areas and played tug of war with a favorite toy, I also give outstanding doggie tummy rubs, ear scratches, body stroking and but rubs. If your dog enjoys a bit wrestling, I do that, too.
