Cathy recently provided exemplary live-in care for our two mini-schnauzers, one of whom is a special challenge due to his elderly dementia. And she did so despite some particularly trying and totally unanticipated circumstances. First, our central AC malfunctioned on the Saturday of our long weekend away, while temperatures were spiking in the 90s. Despite our attempts to line up repairs over the weekend through our AC service contract, the repairman didn’t arrive till late Monday morning. In the meantime, Cathy cheerfully improvised in our basement, lugging down dog crates etc. to keep the dogs and herself as comfortable as possible. Then, just 12 hours after the AC was repaired, Hurricane Isaias descended, which caused a power outage, adding to the already difficult challenges of dog care during heavy rain and wind. Cathy certainly got more than she bargained for when she accepted our dog care assignment! But she rolled with all these punches without complaint. She remained flexible and resourceful; her compassionate care of our canines did not suffer, although she surely did! Judging from the dogs’ manner when we arrived home, it was clear that they felt comfortable with her. This was our first time having live-in care, and we’re very thankful we decided to line up Cathy.

We wholeheartedly recommend Cathy! Our Khloe stayed with her and her family for a whole week and Cathy kept us well informed by sending us pictures and updates. They took good care of Khloe and we liked the fact that Khloe stayed with a family.
