Pet care experience
Hello, I’m Cathy! My love for animals inspired me to become a pet sitter. Previously, I was a foster mom for the Arizona Humane Society. I have experience with special needs dogs. I care for blind, deaf, blind and deaf, diabetic, and epileptic pups. Since becoming a pet sitter with Rover in 2012 I have learned so much about pets and their personalities along with their traits, likes and dislikes that has helped me to become a successful pet sitter. Your pup will be solely under my care during our time together. I used to have six dogs, each a different breed and size. Currently, I have one dog, Sydney. She gets very excited when pet company comes to visit. I have a completely secure and oversized fenced-in backyard with plenty of room for dogs to run, play, and investigate. I’m known to have a kind, respectful, and understanding personality that gives me compassion for people and animals. I appreciate the people and animals in my life and do everything I can to make visitors stay great! In my free time, I like to work in my vegetable garden. I love that I can go outside to get food for my meals. I play the piano, and sometimes I have dogs sing along! I also like to make candles, sew, and watch my favorite TV shows with any dog that wants to snuggle. When I have pets in my home that I care for, it is my daily ritual to make sure everyone goes outside first. Then, my chores are to make sure pets have fresh water. Then breakfast and outside again for playtime. I take my profession seriously and monitor all pets constantly. I never leave my home when pets are with me. I have a large backyard for playing with pets, quiet areas inside my home for pets, and I take photos and videos for owners. I keep them occupied, following owner instructions left with me at all times. I nap, they nap.
Reviews
Zoey was well taken care of at Cathy’s and will rebook with her when I need to
Rhea came home happy and relaxed. Cathy took such good care of her, she did not display any of the anxiety behavior after returning home that she has in the past. I am truly grateful for Cathy.
Nike had a greT time with Cathy and we received regular video update. Much appreciated.
Cathy did an amazing job with our dog, Bowie. She is very capable and experienced, and her great communication made us feel at ease during our trip. Will definitely be booking with her again.

I have a block wall around my entire home. I always do head counts throughout the day. My oversized backyard is safe for all pets. Inside I always make sure that all pups are comfortable wherever they decide to lay or snuggle. I have a doggy door for visitors and even if they don’t use a doggy door , my Sydney teaches them. There is no fussing or fighting and my gift of calming animals makes it so easy for them.

Information Cathy B. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know what your dog likes to do, how much exercise they need, and about their eating schedule. I also like learning their normal schedule or routine and their favorites toys and treats. Also, I have administered medications for diabetic, epileptic and anxiety dogs.
A typical day
Every morning, I’ll take your pooch outside to my backyard to go potty and sniff around. Depending on your dog’s specific needs, I will administer their medications, feed them breakfast and give them a fresh bowl of water. Up next will be play time or rest time. I don’t work outside my house so I’ll be home to monitor any animals that are in my care. I like to have them hang outside with me while I garden. I have a large vegetable garden and the puppies like hanging outside with me. All in all, my schedule is the dog’s schedule. I enjoy taking photos and videos of all the pups I care for and sending them to my clients. This lets them see how their babies are doing and will ease any anxieties they may be having. It gives me pride to have an owner text me with excitement and laughter at seeing what their pet is up to while they’re away.

I stay home full time and do not leave when I have dogs I am caring for to make sure they are happy. I work outside in my garden in the mornings for visitors to play and run. When I am done we all go inside.
