This means I can be around to cater to your dog's needs and provide them with lots of attention and frequent walks. I'm a life-long dog lover and experienced caregiver with animals of all shapes and sizes. I grew up on a small dairy farm and my family has always had dogs. Since childhood, I helped with the day to day care and training of our beloved pets and as a teenager did lots of dog (and horse!) sitting for family friends. I'm familiar with the responsibilities of dog ownership and working with diverse breeds. I have a special soft spot for large dogs but I equally enjoy meeting small ones! Prior to joining Rover, I offered dog-boarding on the GoFetch platform, completing over 26 bookings and 130+ nights boarded. Currently, I'm a PhD candidate at the University of Toronto and my partner is a lawyer at a firm downtown. We live in a dog-friendly one-bedroom apartment in the Annex. My Pupa does not warm up to people very easily so i was pretty anxious about leaving her with basically a stranger. I was very surprised when Pupa went up to Cathleen ,at the trial meeting, as if she knew her and even let Cathleen pet her. Cathleen has a very calm and caring nature about and dogs must sense it. The overnight stay went very well for Pupa and myself lol! I asked for updates and received them every few hours with pics! Pupa loves staring out the window, so it was wonderful that Cathleen has top to bottom windows in her living room and a rather large condo with lots of space for a dog to walk and sniff around in. Cathleen was very accommodating and understanding with this anxious mama lol.. I guarantee you will not be disappointed. Rest assured your fur baby is in good hands.
