What a lovely lady Cathy is!! My dogs were perfectly taken care of. Cathy sent me a ton of pictures, and I would highly recommend her! My holiday was so much better knowing my dogs were with her !

Our little 1 1/2 year old Cassie stayed with Cathie last week for about 7 days. This was our first time leaving her for an extended stay somewhere. Cathie is super sweet, loves all the dogs!! She sent me pictures and videos twice a day of Cassie playing, and showering Cathie with kisses. I was so comfortable leaving Cassie with Cathie. We are planning another trip in September, Cassie will be staying there again! I ...

Thanks, Carolyn. With Cassie being so young now, I look forward to seeing how she grows and develops. She is ...

We have used Cathie a number of times and we just love her. Tucker loves going there and she takes such good care of our him. She loves all the dogs she takes care of as if they were her own. Always keep us update on their progress if there is a problem. We trust her completely and have highly recommended to our friend who have pets. We were so blessed finding Cathie.

Thanks, Janie! Tucker is very entertaining when he visits! He is a big goofball! Looking forward to seeing him again ...

I want your dog to be happy!

My name is Cathie and I have one cocker spaniel named Kiko and one mixed breed dog, River. I retired young from the PO and was seeking something to do where I could stay home. I love my home and my dogs, so wanted to combine them.

I have been with Rover over three years and I love it! I have made 2 legged and 4 legged friends. I have had several repeat customers. It ...

What Cathie would like to know about your dog

What I would like to know about potential dog guests are any of their quirks, such as being afraid of thunder or storms or doorbells ringing.

I would like to know that they are up to date on all of their shots and have your vet information available.

Please no ticks or fleas.

How much, if any, exercise is requested of your "four leggers"? A couch potato or a marathon runner?

Food allergies?

If your dog is crate trained, it is nice to bring the crate so dogs can be separated if I am out.

Cuddler or aloof?

We don't do a lot of walking in the summer. In fact, usually no walking! Too hot!

Older dogs that like to sleep a lot seem to fit best with my two cocker spaniels. They have no desire to play and sometimes it makes them cranky!

When Cathie watches your pet

I think it is wise to introduce my dogs and yours before agreeing for them to stay at my house. Often times people bring the dogs to me before they stay here for a meet and greet. Then they go away for a bit to grab a bite or run some errands. That way we see how the dogs do with each other and when the owners are not here.
I am learning the fewer dogs and the fewer people around, the better. Please don't bring children. If one person comes, that is best! Sometimes people just drop the dog off and come back in an hour or so. That way I introduce them at their pace and your dog doesn't feel the need to protect you. It is hard to ask people to do that, but it really does work best!

My style is mostly to learn your dog's personality and then focus on that. Some dogs want lots of attention, some just want to sleep in a corner. I want to respect that.

My pick up and drop off hours are 8-6. If you plan to be later than 6 p.m., please book an extra night. We settle down for the evening after 6. Thanks.

I talk to the dogs a lot. Not one has answered back yet, but I keep trying. (:

For me, I am amazed at how much love dogs bring into a home and I want to ensure they get loved right back until their "parents" return. Dogs stress when their families go away, so I just want to make sure to keep them happy, calm and at peace until their "two leggers" come back home.
