Lifetime of Kindness and Compassion

Pet care experience

I grew up in a large family with pets who were well loved members of our family and currently caring for a "fospice" kitty. My oldest dog, Stuart, passed away two years ago at age 15. He had kidney failure and I administered subcutaneous fluids every other day for 10 months. I have been fostering kittens and cats for the Seattle Humane Society (currently one very sweet "fospice" cat). I live in a very small condo. My roots are linked to a long line of animal lovers and understand the importance of kindness and compassion as well as fun and frolic. I would be happy to care for your dog(s) or your cat(s) while you are away. I drive a school bus and am available weekends, but also available during school breaks and holidays. If you live in Bellevue or Redmond and are within a 10 minute drive from downtown Bellevue, I would be happy to babysit your dog in your home for overnights during the week when I am working. I drive the school bus for a few hours in the morning and a few hours in the afternoon, so your dog would need to be alone during that time. If you live in Seattle area, I can provide in-home overnight care for your dog or cat during all school holidays.

A typical day

The first thing I do when I get up in the morning is get fresh water and wash out the food dish before walking your dog or taking a backyard potty break. I find that a nice long walk in the mornings before breakfast helps get the day started and also helps your dog get to know and trust me. A midday walk and an evening walk while the family is away really helps with your dog's mental and emotional sense of well being.
