Pet care experience
I am a long-time dog lover who has cared for dogs of all breeds, ages, and sizes. I have experience training puppies and young dogs as well as caring for senior and special-needs doggos who require medication or gentler care. I worked as a dog walker for a year after graduating college, and then pet/house sat on an ad-hoc basis for several families. I have a 3-year-old basset hound, who I have successfully leash trained and who I've raised since he was just a little pupper. I love ALL dogs! I am available for last-minute lunchtime or evening visits, and will have more flexibility during the summer months. I am totally willing to work with you to come up with a care routine that will best serve you and your furry friend.

Cathy puppy-sat for my two shihpoo pups on numerous occasions before she joined Rover. She is sweet and gentle with them, and they took to her immediately. She is great at giving reports about how they are doing. I felt comfortable leaving them in her care while out of town. I would gladly use Cathy again.

Cathy was so so wonderful with my pup. She literally loved him as her own and he was a very large, playful, overgrown German shepherd puppy (bit of a handful). She is organized and punctual. Extremely trustworthy. I knew no matter what my pup was in the best hands. I highly recommend her to look after your pup. From dog walking to petting sitting you can have the confidence of knowing your pup will be loved and cared for.

I would generally like to know the dog's temperament, whether they're friendly to other dogs or people (are they skittish around tall people, or afraid of children; do they really dislike the color blue, etc.). It would be helpful to know if the dog has any health issues that may impact the length of walk or play style and any favorite activities your dog has.
A typical day
We'll do whatever your doggo likes best! We can walk around the neighborhood and sniff all the things, or hang out in your backyard playing catch over and over and over, or hit up the local dog park for some social time with other doggos. We can tug-of-war, find some good sticks, or just chill and enjoy some belly rubs and treats.
