I've been around dogs my whole life, so they have a special place in my heart. As a child I was surrounded by a family who owned, raised, and trained dogs for guiding eye services and other specialty services. Starting in elementary school, I provided care for the dogs of neighbors and friends during their work hours or vacations, including feeding, walking, washing, nail-clipping, playing, snuggling, etc. No matter what others may think of your dog, I will love it like my own child and treat it with great care. When I lived with a family for college, I took such great care of their snaggle-toothed, stinky, scruffy, traumatized rescued Yorkie, and treated him with so much affection and attention, that they offer to let me keep him and take him home with me. Sadly I could not take him, because at that time I had three other dogs at home in my parents’ care, and they would not allow me to bring home another.
