Vet Experience, Fenced yard & Love

Pet care experience

CONGRATULATIONS on selecting to have your pet stay in a supportive, loving environment while you are away. You obviously love your pup very much. I will love them while you are away. My past pup visitors drag their owner back up the stairs... they are my very best advertisers. It can be hard on both you and your pet to be separated. That's why your pet needs lots of extra care, attention and comforting. I have an older fluff ball, that prefers to hang out in the living room and look out windows or in my bedroom (who likes the company of another one too). Then I have the two small fluff balls (mother and daughter) that love to run and play, and then go and look out the window as well. We all do a choo choo train down up and down the stairs to the outside, then back in for an hour inside, all day long. We go to a backyard area surrounded by a 8 foot solid fence and fun little exploring areas. Just the right place for your pet to feel safe and have fun. I throw the ball a lot and we play, play, play. They all take turns sitting in my lap. Especially the little ones with separation anxiety; I end up carrying them around for hours… And I love it. My husband is a fire chief but he lives up at our ranch, by the fire department as they are doing years worth of work there. I was president of the local choir booster program for years (former president ... but still offer my help even though my daughter has left the program to go to UCLA ). I also work from the house, part time via phone, managing a few high end estates. I've had a full background check done. So I am a trusted person in many aspects of the community. I went to undergraduate vet school, before receiving my MBA. I have worked at many animal rescues and have a huge heart for animals. My rates work on a day, or any part of a day, qualifies for the use of a day. So you can pick them up or drop them off on the first day and then pick them up until 7 the last night (workable on times). The last day is added as the reduced day-care rate. Rover doesn't have a way to write up the last day-care rate, so we do add it on before you finalize the booking. I am looking forward to meeting you and your pet. Vet issued type flea medicine is a must (to protect everyone, especially since since they're allowed to sleep with me… ), and dogs must be current on all shots, including Bordetella before you request a meet and greet. As I can never put visiting pets at risk; this is a safety issue for everybody. I always understand that we want to have a continuum of your pets normal living patterns, so if your pet is used to being crated, then we should continue that, if they're used to sleeping in the bed, absolutely happy to do that as well. But the hardest thing on a pet is to really change the routine for here and then for them to come home. So just let me know your pets routine and small intricacies, and everything will go very smoothly. I can also help you in training ideas If you need. My regulars call me year around to ask about training questions… How sweet?❤️ I headed Border Collie Rescue for years in Colorado and have worked with many animals organizations including Fawn Rescue as a rescue driver (retired from that now). I have been pet sitting since I was a teenager and have a real sense that I am helping animals while their owners are away. I adjust the number of dogs that are allowed here, at my discretion, depending of the individual dogs, if they come from the same household and other criteria, you just have to trust my judgment on this. I have a double boundary system in place in both the back yard and the main living area of the house. Your pets safety is of utmost importance to me. I like to do slow gradual introductions so everyone meets in a happy way. Hopefully you will allow your pet to come and have a ball. Usually, I put my pets in the house first, then you would bring your "love" into the backyard and they get to sniff around the backyard, let them get used to the smells and acclimate a bit. Then, we introduce the dogs in the backyard. And then you come in the house. I am happy to do this and then send your pictures of them all playing together in a few minutes if you're worried too much about separation anxiety (haha... pet or owner... it can go both ways ). Doggie daycare is pickups by 6pm. I do not take aggressive dogs with any history of biting other dogs or people. This is for the protection of all people and pets. I understand the "little dog complex", I am referring to aggressiveness, which is different. I can call your vet to verify they are current on all shots if that is easier for you. Refunds will not be made if the pet ends up not being current on shots, or vet issued flea meds as this is the owners responsibility. Thank You SO much for reading all the way through. I need 48 hours advance notice to cancel on doggie daycare, otherwise there is not a refund. as I possibly could turn away other business, to save a space for a daycare situation . Hope to hear from you soon, Catherine Sorry for so many details but I think it's best you know all the criteria to keep your pet safe, for other pets visiting and that we have a great great fun visit Meet my pets We have three small dogs, Cotton and Tica and Pimi. They are Maltese/Poodle mixes and love visitors. The are very used to other dogs being here. They share the back yard, bed and space Happily. We have a lovely Queen Anne Victorian in the St Rose district of Santa Rosa. We are just north of the Downtown Macys. Our yard is very interesting to dogs, with little paths, trees, and a couple of lawn areas. It is covered by large trees which keeps it nice and cool. I go out with the dogs when we play. I don't leave pets unattended outside.

Life got in the way of us leaving a review soon after our dogs (10yo pug and 2yo terrier mix) stayed with Catherine, but we are thrilled with the experience! We are pretty choosy about who cares for our dogs. They are beloved family members and we don't like to leave them just anywhere. So when we found Catherine, we were so happy! And then once we got to know her, we were beyond relieved knowing that our dogs were going to be well cared for and loved while we were away. She has a wonderful set up and routine for the dogs and we know that they were in the next best place from being home. Catherine is very conscientious about the safety and well-being of each dog and she showers them with love and attention. They got to be in a loving and dog-friendly home and we know that that enabled them to relax and feel secure in our absence. She shared photos and short videos throughout their stay, and we appreciated the updates! Getting to see them in real-time enjoying themselves just further reinforced that choosing her was a great decision. We will definitely use Catherine in the future because we know we can leave our dogs in her care with total peace of mind. Thank you, Catherine!

Everything worked out perfectly! I needed a last minute over night sitter for my 9month border collie for the 4th of July and didn't think I'd find anyone on such short notice. However even when I contacted Catherine at a very unreasonable hour at night she still responded and began to give me the feeling that I had found someone who really held any dogs safety and love in the highest regard. Very thorough and communicative dog sitter from start to finish. My puppies first 4th of July and I couldn't have hoped for a better place for her to be during all the fireworks. Turns out she has years of experience doing border collie rescue which really set my mind at ease. Anyone who has or has met one knows they are extremely high energy and require special attention. I would highly recommend Catherine to anyone needing top notch doggy boarding!

It. Is the first time I have boarded my dog. Her stay with Catherine was great. Catherine is such a loving and caring person and loves dogs. She kept me informed about Joy through photos and messages that were very reassuring for me. My dog just settled in at Catherine's home and played with her other dogs. I will have no hesitation to leave my dog with her anytime.

Catherine was amazing at all parts of the Rover process. She was patient when we changed around our booking and always showed how much she cared about all the dogs she watched. We were anxious leaving our dog, Leo, for two weeks, but Catherine sent us daily updates with pictures that put our minds at ease. We could see how much fun Leo was having with her and her doggies. We will definitely be using Catherine again and highly recommend her!

I like to teach with positive reinforcement but I don't want them to learn bad habits either. So, they are encouraged to behave as you would like them to in your home.
