We have owned pets for the past 35 years. Dachshunds are one of the special breeds that we prefer to care for. Because small breeds are such low riders, the lower level of our house are without stairs and non-slippery. A dog/baby door prevents them from climbing the stairs up to the first floor where the bedrooms are. Their day begins with an early potty break, breakfast and a brisk morning walk. Access to a big fenced in backyard with lots of grass and sunny areas to take a snooze. Free play time and soft cushy blankets are available for those who are older and need their rest while the younger ones can horse around with some toys. Early evening walk before dinner as just the right thing to keep up the exercise.Because Dachshunds love their own kind, my two, Jake and Bella will enjoy some intelligent company.
