- I'm Licensed and fully insured I was born a dog lover and have had a dog since I was a child and am offering your pet a 5star home environment while you are away or busy. I believe it is very important for your pet to have a calm, quiet, dog proof environment where they can settle, run around and just feel at ease and for you to know that your pet will be cared for like my own. The pets I care for are with me all the time. Our home is open plan and welcoming. I have owned and bred boxers, had two pointers, two huskies, two yorkshire terriers, a newfoundland and a St. Bernard and three dobermans. I currently own a willful 7 year old doberman who joined our family at 8 weeks old. She is 100% with other dogs, basically either playful or disinterested. I understand what dogs are all about. They see me as topdog and follow me around. We have an understanding. I teach via treats or voice tones, never stick. They are not allowed on the sofa or in the bedroom areas., otherwise they live in the family area where we are. We have a large dog-friendly enclosed garden and also a paddock where they can play. The key is that they are accepted into our home as one of the family. They are loose, roaming, playing or lying in the sun, together with Mika, not in a kennel or cage. The garden door is open always and they wander in and out at will. I am always around keeping an eye on them. I take in a maximum of 3 guest dogs at a time. We go on long walks either to the beach, Stansted Park or Kingley Vale which are a short ride away in the car. At home we are only my husband and myself (both of us are dog lovers). I would be very happy to take care of your dog and understand how important they are to you. If you are local I am also happy to keep an eye on your home - water plants - drive by and check all is ok - take care of horses (I have had horses for many years) as well.
