Former vet tech turned science teacher turned science coach who is looking to make extra income during weekends and school holidays that soothes the soul. I have 3 dogs of my own and I understand the struggle to have them cared for when you just can't be home. I'm happy to walk, run, play or just snuggle with your dogs. My pup had a bit of a rough start before I got her and is very skeptical of new people and animals. Cate has always been very patient with her and won her trust very quickly. She is a huge animal lover, and the feeling is mutual. I would highly recommend her as a dog caregiver!
I've never met anyone who has more patience and love for animals than Cate. She understands dogs and how they think. I've seen her handle troubled pups with unlimited kindness yet she is still strong enough with them that they trust her and follow her lead. Our pups are our babies and you couldn't find a more trustworthy sitter to love and care for them when you need to be away.

I would like the opportunity to briefly meet the dog with you before sitting so we can familiarize ourselves with one another and we can talk about your wants/needs and maybe show me that special place where your pup likes to be scratched. I am comfortable with dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments, but would like to be fully informed of any behaviors I should be aware of before entering the home on my own for my comfort as well as your dogs.
A typical day
We can go on walks in your neighborhood, play with the ball launcher, chase each other around the yard, or just relax with some ice cubes on a hot summer day. I have experience with many of my own rescues from puppies to elderly dogs, and I am generally able to read a dog after a short time and help provide what will make them happy.
