Pet care experience
Hi there, my name is Cat! I would love the opportunity to take care of your pet children and know how important it is to find someone you trust to hold that position. I've owned pets of all sorts (3 dogs, 1 cat, 1 bird) for 20 years, have experience taking periodic care of friends/neighbors' pets for over 10 years, and have been a trusted Rover sitter for over 4 years. I am very friendly, personable, can follow directions well, and will love on your pets as though they were mine! You can trust me to not skimp on services and go above and beyond to provide your pets fun and play, while taking care of their needs. Cat was amazing! She was able to help last minute and was very attentive to our newly rescued pup. She communicated very well and sent pictures often! She was super easy to work with and we’d definitely ask her to watch our dog again!
Cat was amazing with our puppy, Brady! Brady can be very high energy and needy at times, and Cat handled him wonderfully. She kept us updated with constant messages and photos, and made sure to take him on lots of walks, give him plenty of play time, and also take him on a nice hike! I will definitely trust Cat with watching Brady in the future!

I am attentive to the details owners provide when discussing the care needs of their pets. Each animal has a unique personality and needs, and I love to take the time to get to know these. I am great with animals of all types, including those that have anxiety around strangers or other animals. I am very comfortable with basic rules of pet care and safety, and will not have them interact with others or go to a dog park without owner approval. If they are active, I aim to go on regular walks and take time to play around the house as much as I can. I send a lot of photos and updates for owners to feel comfortable that their pet is in good hands!
Information Cat R. would like to know about your pet
It is helpful for me to know how well trained and mature the dog is. I do not prefer taking care of energetic puppies who require a lot of constant attention and care. Additionally, I would like to know how long they are able to be home alone, feeding/walk schedule, how comfortable they are around others dogs/children (and if it's okay for them to interact with other dogs/children on walks), if they chew shoes/other items, special care/medical needs, and any other care details that are important for me to know.
A typical day
Regular walks, play time, couch snuggles/pets. I get up pretty early and will let them out right away in the morning! I live near neighborhoods and an apartment complex for walks, but I also enjoy going to the trails around the Ames are.

Availability
I'm currently a PhD student and have flexibility between classes and research to provide attention to your pets. A lot of my work I can do from home. I also teach group fitness classes, however these are typically brief commitments during my week!
