Veterinary Technician & Training

Pet care experience

My life has been dedicated to animals - from finding lost dogs' homes when I was a kid, working for a large scale kennel facility, taking pictures for a rescue out of College Station, and becoming a veterinary technician. This career has given me deep insight into reading behaviors, attention to detail, and anticipating pets' needs. I want to be sure they're comfortable and not missing you! I currently have two rowdy, yet well-trained Australian Shepherds, and I love using my informal knowledge of training with any pets I visit. Who knows... you might come home to a new trick! I have also had backyard chickens, so I am not opposed to helping out with light farm duties. I can adjust stays based on you or your pets' preferences. I understand that 'busier' dogs need activities more to do - such as earning treats, a long walk, or some good frisbee bombs. Over 20 years of having & helping animals has only made it more clear that I'm here for them!

Cassie does an amazing job with our animals. We had a worry-free trip with Cassie. She checked in on-time, spent great quality time with our fur babies, and sent us wonderful photos. We will definitely rebook with Cassie for our pet needs in the future! Thank you Cassie!

Cassie was so great! Super communicative and worked on some skills with our pup while she was there!

Cassie was my life saver when I worked in Temple. She was even able to work with my night schedule. She went out of her way to not only care for my Bichon, but also my German Shepherd - who could be difficult at times. She has a heart of gold and it shows. to always make sure I was secure in knowing they were in great hands. To be able to go to work and know your "fur babies" are taken care of by such a responsible and caring person was a gift! I wish I could have brought her with me to take care of them when I moved. Don't hesitate to hire her, Cassie is the real deal and it was a privilege to work with her.

Information Cassie G. would like to know about your pet

I always like to know pertinent medical history and ensure that I have your local veterinarian's number just in case anything comes up. I will, of course, be in touch with you first but life happens and I like to be prepared beforehand.

A typical day

I'm big on slow walks so that dogs can explore. Did you know that sniffing can actually provide more stimulation than exercise? On that same note, I'm a huge proponent for positive reinforcement training and I try to incorporate this into all of my visits.
