Live & breathe for animals in need!

Pet care experience

Hello, my name is Cassandra (Cassie). I am 30, married, have a cat, and have lived in Idaho for 6 years now. I am looking for a pet sitting job around the Boise, ID area. I'm willing to travel to cities outside of Boise (Meridian, Eagle, Emmett, etc) depending on the distance and price. I am passionate about animals and have been around them since I was born. I am planning on going back to school to study wildlife biology and hope to start a sitting business while I'm doing that. I used to work at Boise Kennels as an assistant manager (cats and dogs), One Lazy J Ranch in Nebraska as a ranch hand (cattle and horses), Joya de Andalucia farms LLC in Nebraska as a student/nanny (show horses), lead farm hand at Thimbleberry Farms in Michigan (sheep, poultry, horses, and llamas), volunteered at multiple animal shelters (walked dogs and socialized cats), owned multiple pets (cats, dog, fish, hamsters, rabbits, mice, and a rooster), and pet/house sat for friends/family. I have animal/house sat off & on for over 18 years. All breeds and species welcome, I do not discriminate. Unfortunately, I can't bring pets to my apartment at this time. My prices are negotiable, I will work with you so your pet(s) can be cared for. Price also may very depending on time, tasks, number of animals, and distance. Some tasks that I can do while watching your pet is grooming, transportation, dog park visits, walks, feedings, play time, overnight stays, medication, etc. I do also offer house sitting and baby sitting if needed. House sitting can included mail collection, trash/recycling removal, animal care, house upkeep with provided equipment (sweeping/vacuuming, mopping, dusting, dishes, laundry, pool care, leaf/snow removal, etc), and most other tasks upon request. Some services have additional fees. I am willing to sit children if necessary; usually I only sit potty trained children, but I am willing to sit any aged children if requested. My schedule right now is very open and I'm very flexible. The only time, that I know of so far, I will be out of town is June 12-15 2020. Feel free to text, call, or email me about a sitting opportunity. I promise I will try to get back to you within 24 hrs. Thank you for your consideration and hope to hear from you soon

Cassie has been working with animals her whole life. She is compassionate and kind, but also firm when she needs to be. She has had animals of her own and has taken care of them in a responsible manner. Cassie has had many jobs where she had a great amount of responsibility. I am sure she will be a great asset to your company.

Cassie was part of our sustainable farm team responsible for the care of over 300 sheep, 22 horses, 8 dogs, and over a thousand poultry. She was extremely responsible, caring and compassionate worker, providing the utmost in care of the animals from babies to adults. I would highly recommend her for any task involving the care and upkeep of a variety of animals.

Injected medication administration
Senior dog experience
Special needs dog experience

Information Cassie B. would like to know about your pet

Knowledge of the age, temperament, obedience, if they are spayed/neutered, have special needs, and size of the dog is good so I can plan accordingly. I have no breed preferences and will consider any dog that won't act aggressively towards me (there may be an added charge if I'm injured or can't handle a dog because of prior aggression).

A typical day

I like to take dogs around the neighborhood (at least until I get to know them), to the park, on trails, and anywhere else that I can. I like to give them different environments, so they can explore. I play fetch, tug, wrestle, let them swim (if possible), etc. I try to make every second I get to spend with them enjoyable and make sure they get enough exercise.
