Pet care experience
I've been pet sitting for over 10 years now. I live in Quechee but am willing to travel within about a 30 mile radius, farther if you are able pay extra and/or for extended periods of time. I'm a full-time pet sitter, so I'm able to stay with your pet in your home for the entire day (if so desired) while you're away, so you're basically getting someone to watch your home and keep it safe while caring for your beloved pet(s). I have yet to meet a furry creature that I haven't immediately fallen in love with and I'm sure your pet will not be any different. Most of my clients are repeat customers and I am also able to care for critters with special needs. I have a few clients with diabetic pets who require insulin injections and other medications throughout the day. I also have the ability, if needed, to spend the entire day with your pets. Cassidy did a great job with my 6 mon old puppy. She told me everything that went on during her visits and she was very accommodating. Will definitely be calling on her again to help out whenever she can. Very professional and you can tell she really loves animals. My cat also was present during the visits, and even though Cassidy wasn't there to take care of my cat, she still included her in her visit reports and treated her the same as my pup. Very pleased with her visits.
Cassidy has been a true life-saver. We have a 7.5-year-old Springer who was not adapting well to life following our move to the Upper Valley. While acknowledging his reactivity, Cassidy immediately bonded with our dog - and us - focusing on positive reinforcement and love. She takes notes and follows your feeding and activity advice, and I love the text + photo updates she sends to show how well he is doing. Cassidy has done overnights, weekends, and afternoon sittings, and I cannot recommend her enough! Cassidy intermittently watches our home and dog (a 10 year old hound mutt) overnight, and we love her! She leaves things cleaner than she found them, and she is very responsible and caring. She has even picked the dog up off the snowy road when his paws started to get cold on their walk, and he is 90 lbs! We are very glad we found Cassidy, and highly recommend her.
Cassidy spent a week with my two large dogs in my home. As I had requested, she kept me informed on how each day went. She spent quality time with both of my needy dogs (one likes lots of affection, the other attention and treats). Upon my return, my house was clean and dogs were happy. I haven't met a dog I didn't like so I have no real breed preferences. I do like to know the overall disposition of your dog but I've not yet had a problem with anyone and I don't foresee that ever really becoming a problem. If you're dog is skittish around new people, I do like to know that so I can try to tone my personality down a bit for him / her.
A typical day
If your dog is accustomed to car rides, I'm willing to take him/her with me (temperature permitting, of course!) and we'll visit a local dog park to run, fetch, and play with other dogs and their humans.
