Pet care experience
I worked at an animal clinic part time for 5 years, assisting mostly cats and dogs with daily care, applying medications, and lab work. Working at the clinic taught me how to be comfortable caring for pets of all sorts of temperaments; I am very patient and gentile. I’ve been working on Rover for almost four years now! I have had pets my entire life, and have pet sat for many family friends and coworkers with pets that need special medical attention, so I am comfortable giving pets medical care as well. Pets are a blessing and deserve to be treated with the best care possible, which I believe I can help with. I moved to Orange County from Indiana a few years ago. I’m pretty established here now and have a full time job, so I just do this to get some quality pet time in since I don’t have a dog anymore, some exercise in the evenings with walks, and just for some fun money. Because of this, I prefer pets that are close by and regular clients that I can create a relationship with opposed to one-off visits. I already have a handful of ongoing clients I currently work with, and probably only have capacity to take on a few more at the moment, as I want to make sure I have enough availability to be reliable for those I work with! If you are in need of someone to help with walks a few days a week, let your pet out for some exercise and socializing at lunch, or are looking for a sitter over an occasional long weekend, we would probably be a great fit!! I have a sweet little kitten. I’m working on socializing him with other animals and people at the moment!

Cassidy has been great and I continue to have her watch my puppy. I feel comfortable having her in my home and my dog is always happy and well taken care of. He’s always ready for a nap when she leaves so I know he’s getting all of his energy out and having lots of fun.
We were very pleased with Cassidy! She was communicative and sent us pictures of our cats after each time she visited them as well as updates. We recommend Cassidy and will definitely use her service again.
Cassidy is great with dogs and was very easy to work with. Will be hiring her again.
Cassidy stayed with my dog who is older. She said she played with her as much as possible which is excellent to keep her stimulated. I appreciate Cassidy considering what would be best for an older dog. Cassidy also sent me pictures and updates! I recommend Cassidy for taking care of your dog also!

How I care for each pet is totally different based on the pets needs and the owners preferences. I prefer to keep the pets schedule and environment as similar as I can to what their normal day-to-day is when you are home! So it’s really up to you. I always check around the home to make sure everything is safe and there is nothing harmful you pet could get into.

I love all sorts of pets! I do ask that you tell me some about your pets, their temperaments, and if they have any aggressive history.
A typical day
I live walking distance to Newport Beach, so I often take the dogs I walk to the beach or on the boardwalk. If you would like your dog to be socialized, I can take them on walks around your local neighborhood, take them to dog parks, or local restaurants. If your pet doesn’t play well with others, that’s okay! I can take them on familiar paths to keep them on their routine. I love a good adventure, day trip, or just hanging out around the house.

Availability
I typically work 9-6 M-F but work from home most days and have a fairly flexible schedule for breaks. I do field visits some days, but normally know my schedule a week+ in advance. My bread and butter recently has been a handful of “regulars” who live near by that I walk in the evenings or will do overnight stays with and will work from your home during the day if you prefer!
