Pet care experience
I have been house sitting since I was a teen and have extensive experience working with dogs and horses. I am very involved in the dog sport community here in Alaska and have my own dogs who I train and compete with. When I am house sitting for a client, my dogs stay at home with my boyfriend who spoils them rotten. While I do miss them, I enjoy spending time with your dogs and I know they are just fine and happy to be at home.

I care for your pets as if they were my own. When I am staying in your home, I try to keep to their normal routines as much as possible so they don’t feel anxious. I make sure to interact with them and keep them entertained and busy as much as possible.

I like to know if there are any special needs the dog has such as medications or anything they specifically like or don’t like. Food allergies or sensitivities are important to know as well.
A typical day
I typically don’t take dogs anywhere but in their neighborhood unless asked to. I will take them for walks, play fetch, do some basic obedience with praise/food/toy rewards based on what the dog likes. I try to keep their brain as active as possible. I find that it has a better impact on their mental health when they miss their people.

Availability
I work as a Head Start Regional Manager full time from home most days and have a lot of flexibility in my schedule. I can work with your schedule to do what is best for you and your pet. I do travel for work so sometimes I am unavailable because of that but i try to plan ahead of time so won’t open my schedule during those times.
