Pet care experience
I am a retired Veterinary Nurse of 10+ years with experience working with dogs and cats in the Emergency, General Practice, and Shelter setting. I have a special interest in behavior and am an Elite Fear Free Certified Professional and Certified Professional Dog Trainer as well! I have been pet sitting since 2012 after finding a need for skilled, professional care for older dogs while owners were away but I've long since expanded to watching dogs across all lifestages.

Cass cared for our three kitties, including one elderly fluffball who needs special food and meds. When we returned from our weekend trip, all three cats were well-fed and calm. We have no doubt that Cass gave them the care and attention needed for them to stay happy and healthy in our absence.

I am flexible to whatever your pet is most comfortable with. Young, small/medium sized, playful dogs, as well old ones, seem to enjoy coming to my house. I have 3 dogs and 1 cat in my home, as well as 2 young daughters. I have a room designated to dog sitting and training so dogs can do their own thing or join us when they please too. We have a large, securely fenced yard with lots of good sniffs!

A typical day
My goal is to make your pets feel at home so I strive to stick to any normal routines in their day to minimize their stress while you’re away. For stays in my home, we have our spaces divided in a way where dogs can feel safe and secure and have time to themselves as well as time with everyone else (if they choose). We spend as much time outside in the securely fenced backyard as they'd like and there are lots of fun things to sniff out there in the garden. Whether they're couch potatoes or playful puppies, there is no shortage of entertainment or a soft place to land around here!

My schedule is very flexible and largely remote as I work for myself training & socializing puppies through Goodnight Pup Canine Training Services in Brownsburg. Beyond dog training, I am an avid gardener, am involved in my daughters school, and run a Girl Scout Troop.
