*** PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING SERVICES*** I work 12-hr shifts, 3-4 days per week or more at the Deerfield ER, and use Rover only as supplementary income. I do not book visits twice a day on ANY day of the week to avoid overbooking myself. I typically am most available for once per day drop ins that have a flexible schedule. I can also generally provide more availability in the evenings, but I am limited so please do keep that in mind before reaching out! Thank you, I look forward to booking with you :) As far as pet lovers go, I'm far and few when it comes to your average person! I do my best to go above and beyond for the animals I care for, and the people who love them. My love of pets started with my childhood dog - a shepherd mix named Cubby. We were inseparable, and I knew then that I would stop at nothing to dedicate my life to caring for them. I began when I was 19 years old, working for a pet sitting company based in the Pioneer Valley. I was with the company for a year, and in that time I gained skills in animal behavior, administering medications (both oral and injection/subcutaneous methods), and customer service. I loved what I did, and I wanted an opportunity to expand my horizons and learn as many new things as I can. After saying goodbye to my many clients, I moved on to work in a doggy daycare located in Westfield, MA. I learned more about dog behavior, and gained skills in supervising group play. I am now 27, and have not had a job in the last 8 years that hasn't been involved in working with animals! I've done a few daycare/kennel positions, I worked as a brusher/bather for a local groomer, and I even held a job as a sled dog trainer a few summers ago. Along the way, I have attended many training seminars and courses, including (but not limited to): pet first aid and CPR certification, a pet nutrition seminar, Knowing Dogs 101 (dog behavior) and 201 (group play) courses by The Dog Guru's, and a seminar about aging pets. I am currently employed at the only 24-hour emergency pet facility in Western MA. You'll be hard pressed to find a more well versed individual to care for your pets! I am familiar with cat, small animal, reptile, amphibian, large/farm animal and aviary care as well as dogs. I look forward to meeting you and developing a great relationship with your pets :)
