My love for animals comes from constantly being surrounded by all types of critters since early childhood! I work in the mountains of West Virginia at a (pet friendly) campground. There I have learned to care for and observe dogs, bunnies, cats, and even injured wild animals like snakes and birds. Along with this experience my family has included many types of pets. We’ve had snakes, lizards, fish, a bunny, and a dog. Tucker, my beautiful black lab rescue and best friend, was with us for fourteen years, since I was five. Growing up with him taught me how to love, care, and understand dogs. He taught me the importance of family and that pets are family too. Currently my family has a bunny named Oreo. He is a Lion Mane bunny with a conditions called “head tilt”, causing him to be partially crippled. From him, I have learned to care for an animal and keep them healthy even in old age or injury.
