I have grown up with dogs, cats, rabbits, lizards and fish my whole life. My mother was a veterinarian and she always inspired me to work with animals one day. As I have grown older, I have had many experiences with animals. I've worked at a dog daycare and boarding facility where I had great experience caring for large groups of dogs and cats. I have done an externship with the USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection service where I was able to learn about animal care and welfare from a professionals perspective. Interning at the University of Michigan I was honored to shadow veterinary technicians as well as animal care technicians as they showed me what they do on a daily basis to make sure all animals are provided with the best care possible. I recently graduated from Michigan State University with my Bachelors degree in Animal Science, where I was able to expand my knowledge about the proper health and welfare that all animals deserve! Lastly, I currently work for the Humane Society of Huron Valley part-time within the Humane Education department where I help educate others about animal welfare and how to show compassion and love for all animals in the world! What dog owners and their dogs will love about the care I provide is that I will give all their dogs the best care possible every time I am with them gaurenteed! I have a German Sheppherd and a miniature doxin of my own and they are my babies :) I understand that there really is a special bond between humans and animals and how important that is. Dogs to me are not just pets... they are family. I will do everything I can to make sure your dogs are happy, healthy and in the best care possible. I have provided animal care for my neighbors, friends and family while they have been out of town since I was 16 years old. I also have many special skills when it comes to caring for animals including nail trimming, giving medication and following detailed instructions. I am available Monday-Friday and most weekends early in the morning. I look forward to helping you help make sure your dog is provided the best care possible:)
