Pet care experience
I started my passion for animal care at the young age of 12. It was around that time that I started dog walking for my neighbors. It was my parents answer to, "when can we get a dog?" "You want a dog, take care of the neighbor's dogs first and show us you're responsible to walk them daily." They didn't have to tell me twice; I went next door, asked my neighbor Patsy to walk her dog, and started my first job walking dogs, caring for a big boy named Atticus (a gentle giant lab/german shepherd mix). I started pet sitting, mainly for neighbors and people I had established a relationship with by babysitting the kids, when I was 15 years old. Then, I carried that passion to my first teen job when I started working in the boarding facility of a local veterinary clinic when I was 17. While in college, I worked at an equine veterinary clinic as well at the local small animal emergency hospital as a veterinary technician assistant. During my professional schooling years, I did a bit of pet sitting for the resident veterinarians who worked at the vet school at Mizzou. I have continued my passion by caring for animals as a veterinarian. So, who better to care for your pets than a vet!? I'm getting back into pet sitting to earn a little extra to finish paying down my student loans.

We never stress when Casey watches our senior dogs because she’s just the best. Thank you!
You’re the best! Thank you!
Casey is the best. We feel so at peace when she stays with our senior dogs and she always leaves our home looking so tidy.
Casey did great watching our large dog and cat, was able to meet their needs from the comfort of our home. Our pets were much less stressed compared to boarding.

I'd treat your pet as they are used to being cared for. If your dog is kennel trained, then I'd keep him/her in the kennel when I'm not at the house. Otherwise, they'd be out of the kennel to lounge with me. When taking them on walks, I'd use they're regular leash, but also add a second "no slip" leash as an extra safety measure. That way, should he/she get out of they're harness/regular leash, there is an added measure to ensure they dont get away from me and hurt while on a walk.
Information Casey C. would like to know about your pet
Is your pet typically shy around new people? Do they get nervous and/or aggressive towards new people in their home? How are they on leash when they walk by other animals or people? Does your pet have a particularly high prey drive? What trigger words do you use to get your pet to cooperate on leash, to sit, to go to their bed, etc? Does your pet have any medications that they will need daily or more (like 2-3 x per day)? Is (are) your pet(s) on routine flea and tick prevention?
A typical day
Walks will likely be around the neighborhood that you live in or on local trails nearby. I'm a pro at tug of war and chase. I'm also fine with being a couch potato with your pet.

Availability
I do have a full time job, so care for your pets would be before I go work in the mornings and then after I get off work. I work 4 days per week at my full time job, so if I'm sitting for you/your pets on my off days, then there will be a lot more flexibility in my schedule for potty breaks/play time/etc.
