Hello! My name is Carson, and I am the biggest animal lover on the block. My passion is for cats, small mammals, and dogs. I have personally owned household pets from dogs to cats to rodents to reptiles and everything in between. My experience includes a long resume of animal-loving jobs from special needs pet sitting, to horsemanship, to volunteering at my local animal shelter, an intro-vet tech course, and years of working at the Atlanta zoo. Throughout college and post-grad, I have spent many days and nights in clients' homes watching their pets. Now, I work part-time remotely, which allows me to spend even more time with animals. I currently reside in the Lakeview/Lincoln Park area and am open to nearby clients. Additionally, I took a vet-tech-like a course to become certified in canine CPR and have experience administering medicine, insulin, and pills to cats/dogs. I want you to be at ease with the caretaker of your pet and will always send photos or update texts of how our time is going together. I hope to get to know you and your furry (or scaly) friends! Dog Walking - Very experienced with sunrise, sunset, and lunch break walks; ranging from 10 minutes to 2 hours, can walk or run with any dog for varied lengths of time. In-House Pet Sitting - Have spent many weekends, holidays, and weeknights pet sitting and house sitting (I can clean too!) for lots of households; recommendations upon request. Pet sitting - 9+ years of taking care of an array of pets; lots of experience with strict medicine routines, my favorite part is getting to know your pet and their personalities! Drop-ins - I may bike or drive to your house for a short drop in to check on your fur baby.

We are so thankful that both of our cats were in such great hands with Carson while we were away! She took the time to gain the trust of both of our cats who are quite shy at first. We got regular photos and updates which helped put our minds at ease. Additionally, one of our cats needs daily insulin injections which Carson was able to do!
Carson did a fantastic job walking Islay! Islay had so much fun and took a long nap afterwards!

No breed discrimination here!! I trust the owner to tell me everything I would need to know about the dog. I appreciate when my clients let me know about an upset stomach or other health signs I can be on the lookout for while on a walk.
A typical day
I love to go on long walks or visits to public parks/the lake's shore. If you are comfy with these excursions, I would love to take your dog on the adventure. (I will ask about the dog's behavior in crowded and dog populated places before going there of course as well)

Availability
As an early riser, I am a great option for morning dog walks. I normally do drop in visits in the late afternoon and evening times. When house sitting, I am very comfortable staying with your pet (I welcome all snuggles!) and will arrive in the evening, leave in the morning, and drop by 1-2 times during the day depending on the pets' needs. I work from most days of the week. This allows me the flexibility and time to give your pet the love they need.
