Pet care experience
My initial experience with caring for dogs was as a kennel technician at a local shelter for about 1 year. I currently work as an emergency and critical care veterinary technician and have so for a little over 9 years.. My responsibilities include patient care, medication administration, triage, dog walking and social interaction. I am comfortable with dogs of any size, can administer medications, provide daily interaction, and identify and respond to emergencies. In addition to my technician work, I have pet sit for coworkers and friends. I am more then willing and happy to provide references at your request.

I wanted to leave another review on Carroll's page as he just finished sitting for our 2 11-year old pups for a week. One of them has been recovering from a couple of illnesses this past summer and needs even more care than normal. We felt we would be more comfortable with someone with Carroll's background watching them. Carroll was WONDERFUL - he took the time to go over their meds, schedules, habits, likes, dislikes, etc. with me before the stay and asked pertinent questions about some of the medications. He took excellent care of them and even got 'the boy' to eat more than he had been! He texted us with an update each day and was very encouraging in the texts - even though I'm sure some days were more of a trial than others. Both pups were content, happy and healthy when we returned and even more improved than when we left. He also took care of the house very well even though we were more concerned with the pups. I wouldn't hesitate to schedule Carroll to take care of them any time we're away and will do so! Thanks again Carroll for the tremendous service you provided.
We were looking for a sitter that had some vet training (as one of our pups has been very ill this summer) to take care of our 2 dogs when we're out of town next month. The pup that's been ill requires more special care while getting better. Carroll came for a 'meet and greet' and he was very courteous, professional, amenable to the different needs of each dog. This stay was a 'trial run' so that Carroll could spend more time with the dogs without us around since they act different then while we're there and them with him. He did a great job and the dogs seemed pretty chilled (which is good!) when we returned. Again he was very professional, took notes, asked detailed questions that we went over, kept us updated and the pups liked him. We will be using him again for a longer trip next month and we'll feel very comfortable leaving them in his care. :)
This was my very first time using a dog sitting service for my dog Maddie... I was very nervous about leaving her alone with someone for 2 weeks and not only that? But having someone stay in my house for 2 weeks. I want to say that Carroll did an amazing job! It was flawless, to be honest. Maddie is an older dog and she doesn't do well being taken out of her home and displaced so... I had no other option and Carroll made this so easy for both of us. Carroll took the time to come and meet me and Maddie not once but 3 different times so we could assess the fit and I could feel comfortable with the idea. As soon as I met Carroll, I knew that he was a good person and good with animals... He also willingly gave me information so that I could call his work for a recommendation which also put my mind at ease. The entire two weeks that I was away, I felt confident... we texted almost daily just so he could let me know how Maddie was and at the end of the trip, I realized that i was confident enough in him to not even worry. Carroll also went above and beyond duty... while I was away, the fire alarm in my apartment was beeping... he ensured that it was fixed so that the and Maddie were comfortable. When I arrived back home, Maddie was a happy dog... there were zero stress issues and she was happy. My place was taken care of and it was in perfect condition. I would happily and eagerly recommend Carroll as a dog sitter... I'd be happy to converse in person through this site even if need be. I am a very happy client and will be working with Carroll again in the future.
Carroll was great! He stayed at our house for a week with our dog, who's unfortunately very sick these days. He paid close attention to her, texting me to report any behavior that might be out of the ordinary and to update me as the behavior changed. We needed to have a pescription refilled while we were away, and he gladly went to pick it up and asked intelligent, responsible questions about the new med vs. the previous one. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Carroll or to hire him again.
