Pet care experience
Hello animal lovers! I am Carrigan Nelson, 2020's Miss RI's Honorary Miss Outstanding Teen, and am a 20 year old bone cancer survivor who grew up in RI in a pet loving household. I have several year's experience as a dog walker and pet sitter and loved volunteering at our local animal shelter where I cared for and adopted my rescue rabbit. In addition, I also have two sweet rescue dogs. My spacious fenced in yard and pool provide plenty of room to play and roam. I love all types of pups and look forward to cuddles and playtime. I care for most sizes of dogs and am very accommodating. I have toys, treats, doggy beds and leashes. I know how important meet and greets are to determine if I'm the right fit for your furry family members. If you and your pets are comfortable with me - we can be ready to go! On a sidenote - I recently finished chemotherapy and underwent left leg amputation surgery. I am still high energy, very mobile and excited to continue caring for beloved pets. My prosthetic leg can't keep up with me!

My husband and I are so happy with Carrigan. She did an awesome job. She updated us with pictures and texts letting us know how they were getting on. Our dogs stayed with her for a day only but even when we got home that evening the two pups were so tired and so I know she kept them busy. Highly recommend her again when we need for the next time.
Carrigan cared for our two dogs for approximately 5 days while we were out of town. Carrigan was new to the girls but went out of her way to make them feel welcome and comfortable. 1 of our dogs has separation anxiety and I’m sure the first day wasn’t easy with her. Carrigan kept us updated with the girls’ progress and sent pictures which put us at ease. We felt like our girls were in excellent hands and could tell that was indeed the case upon pickup. We will use Carrigan’s services again-without reservation.
There’s a reason I keep coming back to Carrigan; she rocks! The communication is great and I’m always confident that my dog is being well cared for.
Carrigan was excellent with our dog and I'm sure he had a great time! We had regular updates and pictures and I think he misses it over there more than being back at home. We would definitely use this Rover again and our dog would be glad to go back!

Medication needs, vaccines, hospital info and the dogs bad habits. I don’t have any breed preferences, I do love dachshunds! Some dog parents like to write down their daily schedule for there pets as well.
A typical day
Morning : Breakfast time & play time ! Potty break. Midday: potty break and exercise Night :Dinner and a potty break. Then tons of cuddles of course!

Availability
I am currently out of work due to my cancer treatment. Taking care of dogs is very therapeutic for me and I have a lot of free time on my hands! :-)
