Butt sniffing = dog handshake

Pet care experience

I have a Miniature Pinscher named Charlie and a French Bulldog named Hank. I love coming home to them because no matter what my day has been like, they are always happy to see me. I adopted Charlie from a shelter, he was a stray so he needed a little extra work getting used to a new home. Now due to some health issues he has had to have both his eyes removed. The challenges of having a blind dog has helped me gain even more compassion and love for Charlie. Hank was a puppy when I adopted him and I had to house train him myself. I enjoy how every dog is different with their own special personality and I know how much a dog can mean to someone. I’ve used Rover for my own little guy Charlie and it was reassuring to have someone check on him and get him out of the house while I was at work. I would like to be able to pass on the comfort of you knowing that your furry friend is being taken care of too

Carrie is an example of a dog owner who goes above and beyond the call of duty. Her dog is a rescue who has a great deal of intestinal problems. Rather than surrender him, she takes him to the vet for help even though it costs her hundreds of dollars. She loves her dog!

I have known Carrie for almost seven years. I first met her in a professional capacity when she worked for me. As the General Manager of the business I quickly promoted Carrie to a management position based on her work ethic, accountability and dependability. I moved and left the company and Carrie persued her education and now works in her desired field. We have kept in touch in the five years since then. Carrie has her own dog as do I. I can attest to the fact that she is 100% dog friendly and responsible. My dog absolutely loves her and she is great with him. Her own dog is treated as royalty and is not shy to flaunt it! She is caring, organized and responsible.

I have 4 dogs in my own home so I wouldn’t be able to have your dog(s) stay with me, but I would be available to walk your dog(s) or let them outside. I’m able to crate/cage dogs. I would clean any messes, as well as feed and provide water for them as needed. Being as I don’t live alone, I would also be available to keep your dog(s) company for as long as need, which includes overnight stays with all the feeding, playing, and bathroom visits they would require.

Information Carrie T. would like to know about your pet

I would like to know their walking needs/habits. My one dog is a multiple time pooper on his walks, so bathroom habits would be helpful. Feeding and treat schedule is good to know. Knowing medication needs is an important detail. Any medical issues, such as arthritis, breathing, or heart problems. I would also like to know what vet the dog sees, in case there are any problems while I'm with them.

A typical day

I would go around the neighborhood or to a nearby park (if its in walking distance). The length of the walks would depend on the dogs needs. For activities, if there is a yard, we could go outside to play catch/fetch. Tug-a-war is fun for some dogs. We can also work on any tricks the dog can do. I like to play hide-and-seek with my one dog, so I can give that a try as well.
