Carrie took in my two dogs last minute for an overnight stay. It was their first time spending the night at a pet sitter but when we showed up Carrie made me and my dogs feel comfortable. Her house was very spacious and cozy. She has a large backyard that is like a fort. My dogs ventured out and were already hanging out with two dogs she brought for a meet and greet. I felt ...

Otis had a wonderful stay at Carrie's! She has great indoor and outdoor spaces for the dogs and sent pictures and updates regularly. When boarding Otis somewhere, it's always a concern what other types of dogs he's going to be around, so the fact that she only accepts dogs under 30 lbs. is comforting. We'd absolutely use her again.

So I wish I could post my favorite pictures of Jazzy enjoying her time with Carrie and her crew. I am about to make another reservation and can't wait to see how excited Jazzy will be when I drop her off

20-Yr Pro, HomeF/T Small-Dog Resort

I have over 20 years of professional pet care experience, working at pet hotels, a pet supply retailer, an emergency vet, an animal shelter, a Humane Society, and pet sitting. I have extensive dog, cat, fish, small mammal and bird care, breed and behavior knowledge. I specialize in nutrition and feeding amounts. Please let me know if your dog needs to gain or lose a few pounds, or just needs to become a healthier dog ...

What Carrie would like to know about your dog

I just need to make sure dogs staying at my home are under 30 lbs. Whether they are neutered, the breed, and age are, of course, are great to know. I also need to make sure they are okay around children and other dogs. If pups are still potty training, let me know. I taught people adopting dogs from the Animal Shelter how to potty train their new family members.

When Carrie watches your pet

I don't take the small dogs on walks because we can run around plenty in the backyard. I have lots of dog toys and balls and my 8-year-old will throw balls all day. There's lots of space in the backyard and in the family room for exercise and we use it! I also don't want to risk anything happening to your baby walking on leash, off property. I have no problem establishing myself as the pack leader without an extra walk.

Your dog's sleeping arrangement:
I have an extra bedroom with vinyl flooring and a tiled utility room that serve well as my canine suites. Each family of dogs is separated to eat and sleep by an exercise pen or a crate, if that's what they brought from home. These sleeping/eating arrangements are as such so that there are no arguments among friends in the middle of the night or during mealtime. It is far too risky without these separate arrangements and I caution against any sitter who does otherwise. Most dogs I've had stay have been great sleeping in either of those places at night with the door closed, but some dogs feel like they need to sleep in the same room with me, so I can set up their beds in my room. Very few have to sleep in my bed, but we do accommodate.

Time I'll spend with your dog:
Most of the day, pups are free to go in and out of the dog door at their leisure. We'll sit inside and cuddle and do chores and we'll go outside and race around, play ball and take pictures. I'll give massages, kisses and belly rubs. At night, I close the dog door and we'll watch TV together while I send pictures to you. We'll take a few more potty breaks before bed.
