3 years as a sitter & walker!

Pet care experience

A bit of an 'Animal-teur Pawtographer'. Terrible at puns, wonderful with pets :) I know that our fur babies hold a special place in our hearts though, so I do get pretty photo-happy when one is in my care. I understand the anxiety that can come from being away from them, when uncertain of their comfort; and I'm here to relieve that, for both of you. I know what it's like relying on pet care services. Since I was a young child, my favorite thing in the world was to be around animals. Spending some time growing up on a farm, watching pups, foals, kids (baby goats), chicks, and piglets being born, even assisting in some of the births myself, really set the stage for me to one day want to return to animal care. Yes it's a passion, but it has increasingly felt like more of a calling. I can handle all sorts of pets, no matter how playful, grouchy, sleepy, anxious, or down-right rambunctious they are. I am an all around animal lover, and I've never not enjoyed spending time with animals :) I’m responsible, respectful, and loving. Although my childhood doggo is back with my family on the east coast, I still feel this deep connection to her, and I know I will always carry the spirit of her with me wherever I go. I would like to take all this love and pay it forward, so please know I will treat your pet as if s/he were my own, and I will always have their best interest at heart. I will provide a safe and cozy environment, full of love and companionship, for your best friend to thrive while you’re away. I am looking forward to meeting you and your furry friend! :)

Wonderful experience with Carrie. Our older sleepy dog gained a renewed energy in the week she had time with him. Our cat was very playful as well. We had troublesome internet on our trip and Carrie was very patient through our spotty connections. Would highly recommend!

Carrie is loving, patient and compassionate . My older dog’s medical issues were causing him trouble and Carrie did everything she could to keep him comfortable. She asked questions and provided updates with pictures and information she felt we needed to know. She responded quickly to our questions, as well, so we didn’t need to worry. He was in great care with her! Thank you so much!, Carrie!

Carrie was absolutely fantastic! We had a last minute cancellation with our regular sitter the night before we were scheduled for a flight to enjoy a long weekend. I reached out to many Rovers and Carrie responded, moved some things around, and was just so generous with her time to spend the weekend with Sissy. Carrie communicated throughout the stay and provided photos. Our girl was super happy, soiled, and we enjoyed our weekend in full trust of Carrie. So grateful and highly recommend Carrie’s services.

Carrie did and amazing job with both our dogs. We have a 15 year old with some health issues and a 100 lb. 2 year old. Not an easy combo but Carrie’s instincts on how to handle them were spot on. She is a natural with dogs and I felt very confident in her abilities to handle whatever came up during her visits. Our older dog is very shy but was comfortable with her from the start and she new how to keep the 2 year old on his best behavior. She is prompt, professional, communicates well and documents her visits. Total gem.
