Pet care experience
I am a Veterinary Assistant at an ER and a volunteer foster dog coordinator with a local dog rescue in San Diego. My two little dogs, Ginger and Teddy, are my best buddies. I love animals and have been known to jump out of my car to save stray dogs and even a horse once! I have fostered puppies, disabled, and elderly dogs. I am happy to board your small dog at my home. They will be treated like family.
Reviews
Carrie was wonderful! Whiskey came home happy and clearly had a wonderful stay!
We used Carrie again last week and our Simba had a great time with her and her family. He actually misses her when he comes home :). Thank you so much Carrie.
Carrie was awesome. She made leaving my dog so much easier. Each day she sent a photo or video so I could see Maggie, and see that she was adjusting just fine. I would whole-heartedly recommend Carrie for your pet.
Carrie was the best host we could ever ask for! She even had to deal with my pet having to take medicine which is no easy feat! We got pictures and videos which eased our minds and showed us all the fun he was having! I will definitely be using her in the future!

Safety, trust & environment
I have a spacious home and keep the dogs with me inside. There is a fully fenced yard and I take the dogs out often for potty and exercise. I *always* stay with my dogs when outside; They will never be left alone in the yard. At night, the dogs sleep in our master bedroom. We are comfortable having them sleep the way they are used to at home - in bed, pet bed, or in a crate. My goal is to make them feel safe and loved. As a dog rescue worker, safety is very important to me. If I need to leave briefly, I can keep them in their crate or in the kitchen area that has baby gates. Whatever method the owner is comfortable with is what I will follow. My goal is for your dog to feel like they are at home and have the same care they receive with their family.

A typical day
I take the dogs outside first thing every morning when we wake. I play with them before breakfast at 8am. After breakfast, my dog Ginger loves to sun herself on the patio. We usually spend some time enjoying the weather before heading back inside. In the early afternoon, I take a rest with all the dogs and have some cuddle time. I feed the dogs at 5pm and have more playtime after dinner. Bedtime is 9-10pm. I take lots of pictures to keep owner updated on how their pup is doing.

I stay at home during the week and am with my dogs all day and night. I work as a Veterinary Assistant on the weekends, but am home during the week full-time. When I board dogs, I keep them with me as my companions and they become a part of our pack.
