Carrie and Rob’s Arlington Digs!

Pet care experience

I’ve had dogs my entire life. We recently lost our Bullmastiff girl Nylah and are not ready to adopt. We miss her terribly. But love having guests!!! If you want an idea of how I take care of your furr-babies, take a gander at my photos and reviews. I enjoy the companionship, gaining trust and learning how to communicate with each dog. We see them as individuals. And of course love to snuggle!!🥰

Carrie and Rob were great with Nigel. We were looking for a home be a kennel environment and he was well over and cared for. Carrie took time to meet us and get to know our pup. She sent lots of pictures and kept us updated of how he was doing while he was with them. Thank you!

Wanting the best stay for your baby!! Please, please read my full profile for the best service! DOG BOARDING Family of 2 having recently lost our sweet 11 year old girl Nylah who was host to many dogs and welcomed them eagerly. We still open our home to loving and well-behaved canines. I've had dogs my whole life and love all big and small. My partner Rob is an expert in dog communication and was adored by our Nylah. He is happy to help with any aspect of care and is competent. We have many rooms in a big house to compartmentalize as needed and provide everyone with their own space as well as the common areas. We are flexible with pickup and drop off times within reason after 1pm and before 10pm. (Please remember time is calculated between drop-off and pickup in 24hr blocks and charged accordingly. Extra periods of time may result in a charge.) We spend time snuggling, transitioning and socializing, not just throw everyone in together and forget about them. I like to plan ahead for each visit. I pay attention to dog behavior and have experience with clicker method training as a tool for socializing our guests if need be. Our goal is for everyone to settle down and watch TV together in the evening. However, dogs that bark frequently or loud, are escape artists, have a history of separation anxiety that is unresolved or aggressive behavior, unfortunately won't be able to stay. Under 2 years old is too early, regretfully! At the very least, holding a reservation slot is time consuming and costly. Please be upfront and honest to avoid any problems with your reservation later. Cancellations after commencement will be handled on a case by case basis as to whether there should be a refund. I usually respond quickly between 1pm-10pm, regardless of the averaged number on the profile which includes requests made after hours. Replies to reviews are only found on the full website, not the app. PLEASE NOTE: Calendars may show a day unavailable even if dogs are leaving the same day as another would be coming. Also, because of the way Rover has set up their availability system for Sitters, I DON'T UPDATE MY CALENDAR OFTEN. JUST ASK ME! :) JUNE - AUGUST 31- $50 Holidays $50/night Rest of the year $45/night Can waive meet and greets after thorough discussion for last minute requests. *Long term stays over 3 nights require an extra trial overnight reservation before stay.* Short term stays for part of the day also considered but not regular daycare. As an experienced boarder, I screen to make sure everyone has a great vacation! Our backyard is completely fenced in. We also live close to parks and a bike path for walks. Check out our photos. If you are looking for warm and cozy...this is it!
