WFH, fenced yard with doggie door!

Pet care experience

I just recently moved back to Lubbock! I just bought my own house for me and my pups, an Italian greyhound beagle mix who’s 4 years old, a 12 year old chiweenie, and a 2 year old Aussie mix. I also foster dogs, so there's usually a 4th dog around Even though they change as they find their forever families! I have put in a doggie door in my back for them! (Large dogs fit through the door, too!) I’ve been working from home and dog sitting for a few years now, starting a bit before the WFH surge, so I’m experienced in this. I know that I can help you in your peace of mind by caring for all of your pets in ways that I care for my dogs. I want to make sure you have peace of mind while you are away, easing your stress load, not adding to it. I'm here for you and your fur (or not fur) babies!

Carrie is doing great with our dog. Pepper is becoming more comfortable with her, which is great considering she usually barks at everyone who comes over to our house, and is taking longer walks.

Carrie was great with our dog Pepper. We were nervous about having someone talk her for walks because she barks at everyone who comes to our house, but we also wanted her to have more exercise and attention during the day while we’re both at work. Carrie was patient with her until she warmed up to her and was able to take her for a short walk on the second visit. We’re happy with the progress.

Love Carrie! She was great with my 2 90 lb girls! They loved her! Very dependable and flexible.

Carrie is AWESOME!! Our dog loved her. She was so attentive. She sent pictures, (which we love getting) she took him for walks, and gave him lots of playing time. It’s a good feeling knowing your dog isn’t in a kennel the whole time you’re away. We will definitely use her again.

Safety, trust & environment

I work from home, so I'm available to your dog all throughout the day. I also have 3 dogs of my own (plus a foster!) to keep your pup company, as well! My yard is fenced with metal gates that are locked. If I ever leave for a moment, I will crate your dog and my foster dog (if I have a current one) for the safety of all animals in the house.

Information Carrie H. would like to know about your pet

I would like to know if the dog has any history of biting or fighting with other dogs, or if the dog is possibly food aggressive. I understand that sometimes there are circumstances that lead to that happening, but I need to be aware of it ahead of time to be prepared for it. I also want to make sure that your dogs are okay with being crated. I don't leave my home often, but if I need to step away for a moment, I want to make sure everyone is separate when I'm not here. I don't want to open the possibility of something happening in the 5 minutes I step away, and crating is the most effective way to do that. I also need to know if there's any dietary restrictions or concerns, and/or any medication they may need to take throughout the day, and what time(s) that would be at. I also have bones and antlers for my dogs throughout the house, as well. Please let me know if I'll need to keep these away from your dogs or if it's fine for them to chew on them.

A typical day

I have toys and puzzles, to make your pup think! My dogs Arlo and Izzy also love to play tug with dogs. If weather permits, I can take the dogs for a walk around the block, as well.

Availability

I work from home, all day, every day. I also have a doggie door! I'll be able to get up and go outside in the morning with them and several times throughout the day as well. I can play on my breaks, and keep and eye on them throughout the day. I have dog beds in my office currently which is actually the den at the back of my house. It allows for more room for them to play while I'm working and I can see them when they are outside as well.
