Pet care experience
I've cared for animals since I was a kid. I grew up on a farm with dogs, cats, fish, pigs and cows. As an adult I raised 4 dogs from puppyhood, one of them I cared for until her last days. My friends and family trust me to care for their pets, mostly dogs but I'm also experienced with cats and fish. My husband John is an animal lover as well and we often work as a team to give the best quality care possible.

We were very pleased with Carrie's care for our dog Dusky and our house during a brief, 2 1/2 day, vacation. We highly recommend her and will certainly call upon her again.

I can bathe your pet, brush, give meds, feed, and provide transportation if needed. I can kennel your pets if they use a kennel. I can provide a warm lap to snuggle. If you have a fenced yard I can play outside with your pet off leash. If you don't have a fenced yard and your pets prefer to play off leash, let's talk about it. I can give walks on leash. I will work with your pet on potty training, crate training, and simple commands if you would like. Recently I cared for a dog (50 lbs.) with hip dysplasia and carried her up stairs several times each day. Another dog I cared for recently was a rescue from a hurricane and has intense storm anxiety.

A typical day
It really depends on what your pet likes to do. If your pet is active and likes to play fetch, walk, run, go hiking, tug of war, etc. we can do that! If your pet is happy relaxing and watching TV we can do that too. I have two dogs with very different personalities. One is very energetic and needs to exercise several time each day. The other is relaxed and prefers napping in the sun. Each pet is different.

I work online and have a very flexible work schedule. I can give potty breaks, play/snuggle time and walks several times a day from morning to evening. I may be able to stay overnight in your home if needed.
