Passionate Pet Care Provider

Pet care experience

Since I was eight years old, and my family brought home our first dog, my passion for pups has been a defining feature of my life. Animals bring out the best of my nature, and for all intents and purposes, I’ve been a zookeeper most of my life! Dogs are my first love. I’ve long wanted to be a professional caregiver, and constantly fight the temptation to bring home every shelter dog in the area! Your pup will love being lavished with attention while they’re here. They’ll enjoy interacting with my own dog, a delightful and adorable Australian Shepherd. We have a large backyard for chasing and tons of toys for playtime. I live in the Winston Woods area of Bolingbrook, where there are lots of places to walk, including the local wood paths. While limited mobility prevents me from going on regular walks, my 14-year-old son and partner are quite active and will help ensure that pets in our care get plenty of exercise. They love dogs almost as much as I do, and have years of experience as well. Between the spacious backyard and our cozy home, there will be no shortage of opportunities to run around, play, and get fresh air. Plus, I’m an expert cuddler, belly-rub-giver and ear-scratcher! I’m loving, compassionate, and silly; dogs instantly feel at home with me, able to be themselves and to invite me into their world. Our home is incredibly welcoming, too. We also have a bunny, a hamster, and fish! I work online, enjoy reading, and frequently go to the theater to see one or more of my kids perform. Family has always been the most important thing to me, and I consider every pet I've ever had an integral part of my family! I’m happy to groom your pup, send regular updates and photos, and even put you on the phone with your loved one if you’re missing each other. You and your pup should be totally comfortable at every step of the process, and it’s my job to make sure that we all have a wonderful experience. Think of us as your pup’s second family!

My dog, Bandit, is an old dog (13 year old) and he is a nervous dog. It has been a while since we left him with anyone. Carrie provided updates throughout Bandit's stay. She also gave honest updates on how Bandit was doing. On day 1 he did not eat, and he liked to be by himself, so Carrie let him be. Finally I think at the end of day 2 I got an update late at night saying that he finally ate. Carrie honestly shared concerned about Bandit not drinking, and that he finally drank. And she shared funny moments when the cat stole his bed. I got pictures too. She is a very calm sitter who provided Bandit comfort and care. I will definitely re-book her for our future vacations.

Carrie was wonderful! My dog is a loving diva and she knew just what to do to make her feel at home. Plus, I got regular updates so I knew my pup was having a good time. I highly recommend Carrie for watching your pet while you're away.

Carrie did a wonderful job with my dog Daisy. I was a little worried as my dog is not used to being around other dogs but Carrie kept my mind at ease with updates and photos throughout the stay. I'll definitely book with Carrie again. Thank you for doing such an outstanding job.

Information Carrie F. would like to know about your pet

I will ask you about your dog's daily routine at our meet-and-greet, so that I can be sure they are as comfortable as possible during his stay. They’ll be fed and have potty time on the same schedule you have at home. Please inform me of any requirements, restrictions, and other helpful instructions! Do note that pickups for boarding must be by 11am or there is an additional daycare fee for that day of service.

We also just adopted 2 little kittens (Sailor and Sawyer), so we hope your dog is kitten friendly :) I work online, enjoy reading, and frequently go to the theater to see one or more of my kids perform.
