I've had dogs my entire life. When living with my parents, we had 5 chihuahuas and a hound-mix. I moved out and 4 years ago I got a dog of my very own. She's an Australian Shepherd named Rue and she is my world. She's my best friend and I adore her so much that I got a tattoo of her face on my arm. Yes, I have achieved crazy dog lady status! I would be willing to treat your dog just as special (minus getting a tattoo of their face)! I know how to deal with high-energy dogs like my own and also mellow ones, like the chihuahuas I grew up with. Having a dog of my own who is extremely high-energy and who also suffers from separation anxiety gives me a unique perspective as a dog sitter/walker. I am aware of when dogs feel anxious or upset and would know when to remove them from certain situations. I also know how to tire out my high-energy dog through walks and hikes and playing ball with the chuck-it, so I can assure your dog will get adequate amounts of exercise! I also am an avid traveler, so I know what my own worries are for my dog when I am away without her and will keep that in mind when I am dog-sitting. When I am watching your dog, you can be comforted knowing that I adore dogs and I will do everything to assure their comfort and happiness while you are away! I am willing to watch your dog at my apartment on the weekends when I am home, will do walks and/or drop in visits any time on the weekend, and I am available to house sit any time! I will try to make you and your pup as comfortable as possible :)
