Pet care experience
I have animals at home and we require a meet and greet before any new booking. Last minute requests are difficult to accommodate. My husband Rick and I have always had pets. We look after our family and friends pets while they are away. I’ve also volunteered at various shelters like Paws and Red door and now Fox Vally wildlife hospital and Anderson Humane for years. When I lived in Chicago I was responsible for a feral cat colony as part of a City of Chicago sponsored program to control the wild cat population and protect the health of the existing cats. We have completed numerous training and behavioral classes with our German shepherd and we are very comfortable around animals of all sizes including large / giant dog breeds. Rick and I have worked with Rover for several years will be great sitters for your pet so you can travel in comfort knowing they are well cared for.
Reviews
Carrie was awesome with our 12 year old Lab who struggles with steps and slippery floors from his recent ACL surgery. She understood he would need a little assistance getting in and out of house. Received daily updates with photos that gave us the comfort that Duke was extremely happy staying with Carrie. Highly recommend Carrie and will definitely have Duke stay with her again.
Carrie did absolutely great! She sent daily pics of Copper and I had 0 worries. Will definitely book again!
Carrie and Rick are very nice and easy to get along with. Their pets had no problems with my dog. Overall a very pleasant experience.
Carrie and Rick are great people. They took Digger in like a family member. He was a happy dog for the whole time. Very happy that I found them.

I have a portion of the yard fenced for bathroom breaks. Dogs are never unsupervised in that area as the fence is only about 4 ft tall. I have a enclosed deck where they can go lounge for fresh air and watching the neighborhood.

Information Carrie B. would like to know about your pet
Before your stay I want to know your pets schedule, any commands or training you might be working on so I can continue / reinforce those habits, and any unique circumstances I would need to know about your pet: hard of hearing? food aggression? scared of loud noises? separation anxiety?
A typical day
Because I'm home during the day it is important for me, as well as my pets and guests, to get exercise. I take breaks from work to play ball, tug or go for walks.

Availability
I work from home and am with your pet all day. I go to the gym 3x a week and run errands on the weekends but your pet will generally have supervision and someone at home to care for them all the time.
