Pet care experience
BEAUTIFUL FENCED BACKYARD for indoor/outdoor play all day! EXPERIENCED DOG OWNER, DOG TRAINER. Home All Day. I have owned dogs all my life (13 total). I have trained dogs, and titled one Papillon in AKC Obedience trials. I also taught basic obedience for 3 years. I am a former member of the Mid-Jersey Companion Dog Training Club in Avenel, NJ, and the Delaware Valley Papillon Club. I have bred champion-bloodline Papillons. My husband has owned 3 dogs. Medium, Small & Toy breed adult dogs up to 50 pounds only. (Sorry, no pit bulls or pit bull terrier mixes, no large German Shepherds or very large breeds or large breed mixes) Male dogs must be neutered; female dogs must be spayed. All dogs must be house-trained to pee & poop outside on grass, as I do not use indoor pee-pee pads (the other dogs tear them up). IMPORTANT! Your dog should have prior experience in a boarding situation around other dogs, and away from your home. If NOT, I strongly suggest a day of daycare for evaluation to get your dog used to being away from you and his normal home environment. This will help alleviate stress, fear, and anxiety issues (excessive barking and howling, fear biting, fear aggression towards other dogs and new people). This is for the safety of all the dogs in my home. ****** Rover website works like a hotel, by booking "nights." ******* * Check-In (Drop Off) time between 8:00am and 7:00pm. * Check-Out (Pick Up) time on your last day is by 8:00pm. My husband and I currently live in a lovely ranch house with FENCED BACKYARD. 6 foot tall, secure, metal chain link fence with privacy screening. Front door has a double gate for safety. We have security cameras in the home which we monitor if we leave for short periods of time. I AM HOME ALL DAY with your dog! Your dog will never be lonely. I have been dog-sitting for over 11 years and have many, many happy repeat customers; mainly word-of-mouth, my neighbors, their friends & relatives, and their referrals, in addition to just this Rover website. Many of my customers are word-of-mouth, prior to this Rover website and from my Facebook business page. I can supply many references in addition to the handful of posts you see on this website. Your small or medium-sized dog will never be lonely. They relax and cuddle with us in front of the TV, sit on our laps, lounge on the sofa, play with us and with our other small dogs, and become part of our family. Cage Free! Dogs sleep in our spacious family room in their doggie beds, on the sofa, or in the customer's doggie crate if that is what your dog is used to. I take small or medium adult dogs 50lbs or less who are at least 11 months of age, spayed or neutered, and fully housebroken to potty only outside on grass. Your dog should be friendly with new people and other dogs, and show no signs of aggression. They should be well socialized with other dogs - NO aggression issues and NO destructive chewing issues or food aggression. My own dogs are very friendly and quite used to the "guest" dogs who come to stay with us. Male dogs MUST be neutered; female dogs must be spayed. Flea & Tick medication is mandatory. All vaccines, INCLUDING BORDETELLA must be current. Your dog must have an I.D. tag on his/her collar with your name & phone number. To date, I have worked with over 100 families, through this website and many word-of-mouth referrals, who were very satisfied and happy with our services and plan on calling again. My husband and I live right off 287, exit 10 - Somerset -, in a lovely, quiet suburb on a beautiful side street. Private house. Meet and Greets are generally available Monday - Friday from 5:15pm till 8:00pm or most Saturdays & Sundays from 9:00am till 11:00am. About this sitter: Very experienced dog owner. I have owned dogs all my life and have trained in AKC Obedience, and taught basic Obedience. I am also a professional who works at home ALL DAY, so I can be with your dog all day. Your dog will NEVER be lonely. Why I love dog sitting Dogs are like my family! We treat them like our kids. Dogs out outside many, many, many times each day. My experience administering medication Yes, pills. I telecommute for my job. I work at home Monday to Friday. Your dog will never be lonely! They are in and out many times throughout the day. I have a beautiful fenced in back yard with privacy screening. The dogs are in-and-out throughout the day because I am home working. I take many many breaks throughout the day to let the dogs out and play with them. We throw balls and run around. I have been working at home for many years. I take many breaks throughout the workday to play with the dogs and go outside with them and I can go for a nice walk at lunchtime and after work. My office is actually my large family room surrounded by 5 large windows overlooking the fenced backyard. The dogs love to hang out with me in this big family room and in the kitchen during the day while I'm working and then at night we go into the living room to have playtime , relax or go for a nice walk in the evening. I have a new 6' high metal chain link fence with privacy screening. The gate is kept padlocked at all times. Also have security cameras inside and outside of the home which we can monitor from our phones and they record with date and time stamp.

Thanks to Carrie and her family. During the stays, Carrie provided a lot feed back about Oreo’s eating, playing, getting along with the family member and other dogs. Carries also shared Oreo’s picture everyday. These really made me feel that my dog are in a safe and happy home. When I returned, I did see a happy old boy waiting for me 😄
Carrie is very attentive and shows genuine caring for all the dogs left in her care. She regularly communicated and shared photographs with me while I was away. This was our very first visit but it won't the last. I recommend Carrie's home care service without reservation!
Our experience boarding our two dogs with Carrie was simply phenomenal! We had never boarded our dogs before, and I was very anxious about leaving them with someone for over two weeks. Carrie put me at ease from the first time we met. Throughout our vacation she kept in touch via text message, sending me photos and updates regularly. The pics of our dogs cuddled up on the couch with both Carrie and her husband made it obvious our dogs were safe, happy, and well cared for. I cannot thank her enough for the care she provided my dogs and will definitely use her services in the future. Thank you, Carrie!
Organized, lovely personality. Our dog Luka loves her, he stayed for approximately 2 weeks with her, and from the pics Carrie sent, we noticed he was comfortable with her. They day we picked him up, he showed love for her, which was very nice to see. We are very happy and pleased with her care for our Luka.

The dogs usually hang out with me in the large family room during the day, keeping me and each other company. I take many breaks to go outside to toss balls. At night we go into the living room and everyone relaxes and watches TV. We do play time after doggie dinner, with dog toys and balls.

Information Carrie B. would like to know about your pet
Your dog should be very well socialized with other dogs with no aggression issues, or high-anxiety issues such as destructive chewing or separation anxiety, howling / barking when left alone for short periods. Your dog should be house-trained to go outside. I board under 50 pounds who are at least 11 months of age and spayed or neutered. I have experience with Senior dogs.
A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks We usually go for walks all around the perimeter of our large backyard (This is for safety). I will sometimes walk on the sidewalk up and down the quiet street where I Iive, depending on the dog (pulling or no pulling) and on the weather. Your dog's sleeping arrangement In my family room, in his/her crate with soft bedding or in his/her soft doggie bed, with the other dogs. Time I'll spend with your dog I work at home, so I am home all day M - F from early morning until the workday ends at 5pm or so. The dogs have free run of my home while I am there, but mostly they prefer to hang out in the family room with me while I am here working at my desk. They also play outside as they go in and out the doggie door to the backyard. I am also home almost every evening. I do run out on occasion to do errands, store, etc. then back home.

I work at home M - F here in a large family room which serves as an office / dog play room. It has a glass patio door and large windows to the backyard. The dogs are all around me, all day. I see them outside playing when I let them in the backyard. I take lots of breaks during the work day to go outside with them. On weekends, if we go out to run an errand, we look at the SECURITY CAMERAS that we have mounted in different rooms in the house AND in the backyard and front yard. We can monitor the cameras on our phones whenever we go out for a bit.
