Hi I'm Carolyn. I'm available for doggie daycare, dog walking, drop-in visits, and boarding. As a pet parent myself, I set a high bar for who I leave my pets with while I'm away. In return, I wanted to offer my home as a place that pet owners and their pups can feel comfortable, relaxed, and worry-free so that they can enjoy their vacation while their dogs have one too! I've had dogs all my life, ranging in size from Poms to St Bernards. Currently I have a high-energy Australian Shepherd, so I understand the importance of doggie exercise and getting them out of the house. I'm a runner and triathlete so I have plenty of energy to spare as well! Jogging? Running? Hikes? I can do it - just let me know your preference. Your pup and I will have a great time getting some energy out so they can be happy to snuggle with you when you get home (and not pinging off of walls!). I'm available for scheduled "routine" walks throughout the week or things that are a little less planned. I also offer boarding on occasion, just check my schedule! Can't wait to meet you and your pup!

I just moved to NM, Talo had a regular sitter before we moved here, and she was a only sitter he knows. I felt comfortable leaving him with her when I go away, sometimes I'm gone for a month and never have to worried. So I was very worried to finding a new sitter here, especially as he is getting old he makes potty accident. I found Carolyn and took him over for a week. She was very nice , Talo had potty accidents there, I felt bad about it. When Talo is at home I have to take him out middle of the night., so it's not easy , especially if you are not used to take care of him. Anyway, Carolyn is a very responsible doggie person.
I have known Carolyn for years and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her as a dog sitter to anyone. She's not only a huge dog lover, she is kind, responsible, dependable, and knowledgeable about animal care. Carolyn has taken care of my elderly pup on more than a few occasions. My dog absolutely loves her and I always leave knowing she will go above and beyond to take good care of him when I'm out of town (and send me a few adorable pics to keep me from missing him too much). Carolyn is an awesome person - and will take excellent care of your pup when you're away. I couldn't recommend her more!
Carolyn watched my dog for a few days about a month ago. I'm always slightly apprehensive leaving my dog with others as he has had intense separation anxiety in the past, and I fear it may return and be a disruption to whoever watches him. Carolyn was very thorough with questions she asked about feeding instructions, routines, on-leash behavior, and with other behavioral questions which put me at ease. My dog seemed thrilled to see Carolyn and even jumped right into the car for her (another place he has anxiety) without any fear. She sent updates and photos throughout my dog's stay, and when I went to pick him up he seemed somewhat reluctant to want to leave and come home. I would highly recommend Carolyn as she is attentive and caring, especially for a dog with a lot of energy and sometimes a lot of anxiety. I would definitely take my dog to Carolyn again without hesitation.
Carolyn is not only an admired and respected colleague, but a very dear friend. She is a loving and devoted dog parent and also regularly takes friends' pets into her home while they are away. She lights up whenever she meets a new furry friend! I would trust her with my own pet and my home without question. She anticipates problems before they happen and is THE person her friends and colleagues trust in a crisis. Carolyn gets the job done! I've also been welcomed many times into her home (I owe her more dinner parties than I can count at this point) and seen firsthand her hospitality, warmth, and impeccable attention to detail. She is totally reliable, following through on her commitments 100% of the time and always going the extra mile (literally, she's a triathlete :). You can't go wrong with Carolyn!

What are their sleeping preferences (crate, bed, etc)? Any fear of storms? Any dietary quirks or treat restrictions? What type of walk are they used to, such as a run or leisurely stroll. Do they walk well on a leash or are they a professional puller?
A typical day
We can go around the block for a leisurely stroll, a short hike, or a jog in the park. I have a reasonable size yard with a low fence, so if you're dog is a fence-jumper, please let me know ahead of time :-) My dog loves the dog park, and if yours does too, we can have a play date there!
