Pet care experience
My love and care for dogs has been lifelong. I am an experienced dog/animal sitter and have been exposed to a wide variety of breeds. I love them all, and understand each has its own quirks! I’m comfortable with disabled dogs (having one of my own); seniors; or those with special needs. I am an incredibly loving dog owner. I’m also a Certified Professional Dog Trainer using positive reinforcement clicker training methods. I have a 12 year old Brussels Griffon/KCC Spaniel Mix. He’s blind (and nearly deaf) but very high functioning - he's very social with people and dogs. He loves everyone, but does not do well with high energy puppies. I also have a 4 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who is great with other dogs as well.
Reviews
Carolyn was just the best for Luna. As a fellow Cavalier lover she was so patient and caring with Luna. Bean and Sprout were also her friends and just the cutest pups! Thank you so much Carolyn, Bean, and Sprout ??✌️??
Carolyn is an amazing person who clearly loves and respects both dogs and owners! Our Griff had an amazing 5 day stay with Carolyn & Sprout, and we felt so confident that he was in very capable and kind hands.
Carolyn is wonderful! Treated our dog like her own, and sent us a pic during the day. She has a fantastic backyard that is super dog friendly and her own dog is great! Could not have asked for a better experience for our dog while we were out sightseeing for the day. Carolyn may be higher cost than others but she’s worth every penny. Would go back again and again. Thanks so much!
Carolyn is amazing! She is kind, organized and a true animal lover. My two dogs had a blast staying the weekend at her house. She played with them and catered to them like they were her own pups. We are grateful to have found her. Her yard and house are a paradise for dogs. I cannot say enough nice things about Carolyn. She’s terrific and so is her dog, Sprout. It was a wonderful experience!

I have a very large yard (double lot) that’s fully fenced in and designed specifically with dogs in mind. In the warmer weather the dogs can pass seamlessly between inside and outside. It’s at their leisure. I always have fresh water in and out. There’s plenty of shade in the yard but I also have central air so your pooch will always be comfortable.

Information Carolyn P. would like to know about your pet
It's important to know if your dog has any important medical issues. It’s also good to know in advance if your dog has any triggers. Is he/she leash or food aggressive? What commands do they know? Do they experience separation anxiety? What are their favorite activities? How do they like to be touched and receive affection (i.e. belly rub? back scratch?). Do they snore? [no judgement here :)]
A typical day
It's important at the Meet & Greet to gain insight from the owner about what brings their dog joy (I.e. walks, fetch, fun with the hose, naps on the couch, etc. ) and then I'm happy to accommodate accordingly.
