Pet care experience
I've worked with animals since a young age. I have experience taking care of dogs, cats, exotics and livestock. I'm comfortable bathing and doing some specific grooming requests. I've worked at veterinary hospitals and I am comfortable medicating animals. I'm able to help them get out energy by walking, hiking, swimming, etc. Likewise, we can work on learning to calm down and relax. Carolyn was awesome with our pets. She housesat for our two dogs and cat while we were away for 3 nights. She sent many photos and gave updates throughout the day and left a note with a summary for us to come back to. She came for a meet and greet before the stay and was very kind and professional. Let me know if your dog has any special needs, any dislikes or preferences, any food allergies, behavioral triggers or concerns, resource guarding, reactivity on the leash, if they dislike baths, if they are housebroken, etc.
A typical day
Depending on the needs of the dog and the requests of the owner we can walk around the neighborhoods, walk at local parks or take a hike, etc. Or we can play in a backyard, play tug, do mental exercises. Assuming the dog wants to be pet I can give massages and help them relax. Some basic grooming can be done. We can discuss specifics.
