Private loving care!

Pet care experience

***UPDATE*** If you were directed to this page, we apologize for the inconvenience, as we are no longer accepting new clients. We are in the process of retiring. We hope you are able to find another caring family on Rover.com who can help with your precious pet!! ------------------------ Whether you need doggie daycare while you are at work or 24-hour boarding when you leave town, we at Carolyn's Canine Care are most happy to provide private loving care for your precious pet in our home. If your dog is a non-shedding breed, at least two years old (but not elderly), spayed/neutered, less than 20 pounds, in good health, current on vaccinations, housetrained (and does not need potty papers), well-groomed, well-behaved (does not bark a lot), and gets along well, and is not dominant with, other dogs, we would love to set up a meet-and-greet. We offer a free consultation in our home to put your mind at ease that you have made the right decision for your precious pet’s care. We are a mature husband/wife team of pet lovers who have cared for pets all of our lives. We are honest, trustworthy, reliable, and dependable. In retirement from positions in the corporate world, we now enjoy sharing our home with our furry friends. We pass all background checks with flying colors and would be happy to provide references. Our 1800 sq. ft. ranch-style home is pet friendly with a 3/4-acre fenced-in backyard that has plenty of room in which to safely roam. We are nonsmokers, and our home and yard are as chemical-free as possible. PLUS, we recycle dog waste through Green Scoop Pet (.com), and you can too! Our situation is perfect for your dog because one of us is always at home. Our primary focus is your dog’s happiness, and we do our utmost to maintain your dog’s typical routine. Our preferred time range for drop-offs is 7:30 am to 4 pm and pick-ups is 7:30 am to 5 pm. Please note that an extended pick-up time after an overnight may be subject to a daycare rate. There is a holiday surcharge of $5 per dog on standard US holidays (New Year's Eve & Day, Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Eve & Day). We welcome the opportunity to care for your furry friend in our home!

Going to Carolyn's is Dewey's favorite thing to do! When there, he is a member of the family. Ohio had a warm and sunny week for February. Carolyn's beautiful, large, and safe backyard is perfect for exploring and enjoying. Her home is truly Dewey's "Happy Place"! I found Carolyn on Rover over 5 years ago when I had my beloved, now angel, Mister. Carolyn accepted my new rescue doggie, Dewey, for day and sleepover camp. Like all doggie parents, I wanted a safe place with loving, attentive caregivers. Carolyn and her family provide all that and more. Carolyn is simply THE BEST. Thank you Rover.com for bringing us together!

Choosing a caregiver for your beloved doggie is one of the most important decisions we can make. I met Carolyn a couple of years ago when I had my senior doggie Mister. I was so impressed with the care, comfort and safety Carolyn provided. Sadly Mister passed away about 1 year ago. I promptly went to the Humane Society and found a little guy who had been surrendered, Dewey. Dewey had trust issues. He had not been well cared for and needed a loving home. After a couple of months I realized Dewey needed the opportunity to be around other doggies in the best possible place. I was so happy that Carolyn agreed to accept Dewey into her "day camp". He thrived! After a few camp dates we tried a sleepover. Once again great success. You see Carolyn and Vince provide a home like environment. Doggies get playtime in their beautiful, large fenced yard with their camper friends and then enjoy being in their house without restriction. Curling up on a lap or snuggling beside them during quiet time before heading off to "nitie nite". It was important to me that Dewey become comfortable when staying with Carolyn and Vince. A couple times a year I am gone for a week. This past October he stayed with them for a week. He did great! Now Dewey has a "sleepover" 1 or 2 times a month. He loves and trusts Carolyn and Vince. This has been a huge part of his adjustment to a loving home and family this past year. A big part of his achievements this past year are because of the care he receives from Carolyn and Vince. Carolyn sends photos and updates everyday. I miss my little guy when I am away, but have never spent 1 minute worrying about him. I know they provide the BEST experience for Dewey. All I can say is "Thank you" for providing such a healthy, happy and safe place for my little guy! Also, reserving through Rover is great. Making your reservation and paying for it online is so convenient. Plus it takes care of the "business" transaction so when you take and pick up your doggie, the focus is on what is most important, your beloved doggie!
