I will make sure that they feel safe and loved on. Keep them company just as they would do for me. I know to lower my tone of voice when giving them a command. It is important to establish that I am the dominant one so that they will not overtake me. I always use a leash when going outside in my yard so that they don't bolt off right away. I will play with them if toys are available either inside or outside depending on the type of toy and the weather outside. Right now I have no job other than working the A&M football game days. Having dogs over is good for me because it helps me physically and emotionally. As well as making me keep things 100% clean and tidy. The dogs can sleep in my other bedroom because it is empty.
