Pet care experience
I've doted on pets since I was five years old. My favorite job as a teenager was tending and walking my neighbors' dogs. When I became a dog-mom, I invested in licensed trainers and have spent considerable hours in private and group lessons learning to understand dog behavior and meet their mental and physical needs. I don't currently have pets of my own (my young kids are enough for now!), so I have extra love and time to share with yours! I can't wait to take your dog for a sniff and stroll on the town.

I will take your pup for an outing and follow your directions for leashing and walking. I like to let dogs sniff their surroundings to their hearts' content, and for your dog's safety and mine I am careful not to let them greet other dogs in the area. I always bag and clean up any messes. I am also happy to visit your pup at home while you are away to feed, potty, play, and comfort them according to your wishes. I follow instructions carefully and will treat your home and your pet with respect at all times!

I need to know your dog's size and temperament. I also need to be aware of any allergies and if you are okay with me using treats with your dog. What kind of leash and collar do you use? What stress triggers does your dog have? Are there any objects, situations, or people we need to steer clear of on walks?
A typical day
I love to take sniffy walks, throw balls and frisbees, work on loose-leash walking, play impulse-control games, give belly rubs, and practice tricks. I am a huge believer in getting a dog to use his brain and not just his body so he can feel fulfilled.

Availability
I'm a stay-at-home mom and self-employed musician, and my schedule is fairly flexible. I'm usually available weekdays between the hours of 9am and 3pm, and I can often fit pet care into other times and on weekends as well.
