Pet care experience
I grew up taking care of cats and sitting for neighbors often. Since we got our first dog two years ago we enrolled her in SMART dog school and I spent many Saturdays during COVID going to group dog classes and learning how to handle her best. I felt so confident in what I learned in training her that I trained our second dog myself and he is doing wonderfully.

Carolyn came a couple of days ahead of time to meet my girls. They were excited to see her when she arrived for their walk. She is quick to respond to messages, came on time and my two medium sized dogs were well taken care of.

We crate our dogs in our home when we are away and I am more than happy to work with whatever accommodations for leaving your pets unattended they are used to/you want. When we are home we constantly keep an eye on the dogs, and I would do so in your home, to ensure that they don’t get into anything they should not. A worn out dog is a happy dog. I love to play fetch and get the dogs running around outside when the weather is nice. When it’s not we can play tug or with toys inside and I’ve even done mentally stimulating “find the treat” games with dogs to keep them engaged. I love to hike/walk in the parks in Boone County and have taken dogs there several times. Even just around the neighborhood, we’ll have a good time no matter where we go!

Let me know if your dog has any special needs I need to be aware of. For example, if they are afraid of certain things or need to stay away from other dogs while we’re out. I will make sure we keep to ourselves while we are out but any extra information for me just means extra care for your pup! If it’s muddy/rainy be sure to let me know where some rags are so I can wipe their paws once we’re finished playing too!
A typical day
A worn out dog is a happy dog. I love to play fetch and get the dogs running around outside when the weather is nice. When it’s not we can play tug or with toys inside and I’ve even done mentally stimulating “find the treat” games with dogs to keep them engaged. I love to hike/walk in the parks in Boone County and have taken dogs there several times. Even just around the neighborhood, we’ll have a good time no matter where we go!

Availability
Currently I work full time as a Counselor and I’m in the office from about 9-5 Monday-Thursday. I work only in the mornings for 3 hours on Fridays so weekends I have more availability.
