Pet care experience
I've spent my entire life around dogs, whether that may be an older, feeble dog, a rambunctious young pup, or an entire litter of newborn puppies, and I've always loved the companionship & personality they provide. I have cared for dogs of all ages, sizes, and needs as well, including injured or ailing dogs. I have a dog of my own, Henrietta "Hank" the mellowest of yellow labs, who I love to spend time with. I've been active on Rover for a few years now, and have made several connections with amazing dogs and their owners, and have yet to have a negative experience. Caroline simply loves taking care of dogs! She takes our Labrador out for long walks or hikes ...and I mean long walks! They both come back happy and with that lovely calm that comes from being outdoors. Caroline is very responsible and conscientious regarding the health and care of animals, she's content just having a dog by her side or even sitting on her lap. She is a good communicator if there are any questions or issues about their care she is quick to contact the owner. It is obvious that Caroline finds joy in taking care of dogs and that is reflected in the happy disposition of the dogs she cares for. They're always happy to see her walk through the door again!

I would first like to know if the dog has any special needs or preferences, so that the dog can be just as comfortable with me as he or she is with the owner. I do not have any breed preference, although I personally tend to gravitate toward larger breeds.
A typical day
I like to take dogs on a variety of different routes (depending, of course, on their ability), and to keep things interesting by taking new paths or exploring a different neighborhood rather than getting stuck in the same routine. The beach is a great place for the dogs to cool off, especially those larger & furrier friends. There are plenty of parks as well for general game-playing like fetch, or simply running & playing with the dog to be sure he or she is satisfied with plenty of exercise and stimulation.
