The Mary Poppins of pet nannying :)

Pet care experience

Hello and congratulations! You’ve located your friendly neighborhood pet sitter :) I’m excited to meet you and your best friend! ————————————————————— Here’s a little index for FAQs : (A) An introduction to who I am as a caregiver. (B) My background and experience with pets. (C) A brief overview of the service options I provide. (D) A rundown of what I’ll need from you, to help my visit with your pet go smoothly. ——————————————————————— (A) My name is Caroline, and I’m excited to meet you and your buddies! I’m a full-time pet caregiver, currently located in Castle Rock Colorado. A little bit about me - I grew up in Castle Rock, and I went to high school at Lutheran in Parker. After graduating early in 2017, I went on to travel and work as a barista/petsitter/delivery driver to fuel the travels. I’ve spent time in Florida, Tennessee, New York, California, and more, making friends, memories and music. Now I’m back in Colorado for the holidays and I’m blessed to have some amazing clients here in Colorado! I’m hoping to add you to that list before my next endeavor (wherever that may be, I’m open to suggestions! :) ——————————————————————— (B) I’ve worked with a variety of pets over the course of about 10+ years, both professionally and personally. Today I primarily care for dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters/gerbils, fish, and birds… I am always open to discussing jobs for reptiles/other animals that I haven’t mentioned.🐢 My goal is to keep your pet happy, healthy and active, so I’ve made it a point to learn and understand what that should ideally look like, and how I can nourish it. In addition, I’ve had quite a bit of experience caring for injuries and illness in animals. My own pup, Lucille, was unfortunately attacked by a much larger dog, but with no money for vet bills, I found myself nursing her back to health at home. While it was hard, it taught me a lot about administering medications, cleaning wounds, handling broken bones, feeding routines/nutritional supplements, eye care in dogs, and the overall care and attention it takes to work with a hurt pet. My late pup, Copper, had quite a few neurological/tummy/joint issues in his old age. Over the past three years, Copper helped me understand what it takes to love and care for an elderly (nearly crippled) pet - keeping him comfortable and bright amongst the health issues that he sadly had to endure. I’ve since realized the benefits of nutritional healing in pets, so I’ve switched my pup Lucy to an all natural meal plan… I pay careful attention to her table scrap intake (because she gets plenty of treats from me anyways), and I keep up with her superfoods like hemp, eggshells, fish oils, and more. I completely understand a strict meal plan, so if your pet has any dietary restrictions that you’d like me to respect, please let me know ahead of time. I fully trained my pup Lucy, and sure enough, I was able to teach my old dog Copper a few new tricks before he passed on too. I’m more than prepared to take on the potty training puppy, or the stubborn old dog. I love both of my pups very much, and I take care of my client’s pets as though they are my own. ——————————————————————— (C) House Sitting: - Overnight care for your pet in your home - 24 Hour Pet Care - Optional Plant Care - Mail Collecting - Trash Bins - Basic security + supervision Drop in Visits: - 30 minute OR 1 hour visits to your home - Feedings - Potty breaks - Care of your choice/needs, etc. Dog Walking: - 30-60 minute walks on your pet’s regular route /// FULL DAY VISIT /// - Up to 8 Hours of in-home care and supervision - Feedings - Potty breaks - Hours may be divided to fit your pet’s needs (4/4 … 3/2/3 … etc) *Please contact me personally, either via Rover, or phone, for FULL DAY VISIT rates* ——————————————————————— (D) A thorough rundown of what your pet is accustomed to is always helpful at our meet and greet - as well as a written list of instructions/emergency contacts/wifi password/house or garage codes for reference, whether by text or by note, prepared for my visit. I work with many different pets and people, so on occasion I do mix up routines - written instructions are always helpful! IMPORTANT NOTE: I’ve had many owners hire me for one pet, without informing me of an additional “low maintenance” pet before I arrive… While I understand that some pets don’t require my full attention, my rates are set according to my role as your pet’s stand-in guardian, as well as his/her caretaker. This means that my rates account for potential accidents/emergencies. If you have ANY other pets in the home, please remember to add them before booking me. Any incomplete bookings made with pets who are unaccounted for will be cancelled. - - - - - - Even when my specialized care may be unnecessary, my supervision and responsibility over that pet’s life is always necessary. I charge for every animal in the home. If your pets are untrained - I.e. FREQUENTLY chew furniture, eat from the trash, dig unwanted holes, steal food, refuse to respond to commands, bark at strangers or animals, pee/poop indoors, need constant/24hr attention, or present any other behaviors that may result in FREQUENT accidents or messes, please inform me. I may have to reach out about extra charges along my stay if your pet causes damage that I need to spend time or money fixing/cleaning/restoring. Mischievous pups have unfortunately cost me quite a bit of time, and sometimes personal belongings in the past, so it helps me to talk through your pet’s behaviors in full! I may be the Mary Poppins of pet nannying, but I certainly don’t have a closet in my purse to replace any pair of shoes at a moment’s notice.😅 ——————————————————————— If you’ve made it this far, thank you for reading all the way through and getting to know me and my style. I hope we make a good fit - Reach out, let’s talk dates for your next adventure! :)

Caroline did a great job of house and dog sitting for us! Our 2 little Shiba Inu’s love her and she made our absence fun instead of hard for them!

Caroline was truly the best. She loved our boys so much and kept our place in top top shape. We will definitely be asking her to watch our dogs again. She was wonderful and communicative which we really appreciated!!!!

Information Caroline R. would like to know about your pet

IMPORTANT: I often bring a friend to meet and greets for safety, and I will only work a job if we’ve been able to meet and become comfortable with one another first! :) Thank you! Let me know if your pet has any quirky behaviors that I can account for. I want to be sure that your best bud feels understood when you’re not around, so as to avoid any unnecessary stress from missing you! If your pet; has special needs (extra charges may apply for SN pups)… was previously abused and struggles with things like PTSD… triggered aggression or anxiety around children or a specific gender… triggered agression/anxiety around loud noises etc… if your pet chases after wild animals like rabbits and squirrels… barks at other dogs… runs or pulls frequently on leashes… has foods/treats/words that may assist with commands… or anything else that you think is necessary for me to know… For the sake of your pet’s safety, my safety, and the public’s safety, please inform me EXPLICITLY so that I can provide the best possible care!

A typical day

I want your dog to stay stimulated physically and mentally throughout my stay, so a good game of fetch, a walk around the neighborhood, a drive to the local coffee shop - that’s where I like to direct my focus.
