Responsible, outdoorsy & caring

Pet care experience

I have been with dogs for my entire life (big and small!). I have always loved caring for pups and kitties, when I was in middle school I took over all of the post-surgery care for my dachshund who had slipped a disk in her back. This experience is what made me want to go into the medical field. I am very empathetic and have hours of research and practice on caring for all different types of dogs and issues that dogs may have. I've never met a dog I didn't love or couldn't handle - I am very adaptable and will do everything I can to make each pup comfortable and keep them in their normal routine. I am currently not working! Which, means that I will have all the time in the world to play with your pup; going to parks, going on hikes or long walks, etc. I have two large yards: one is partially fenced and the other is totally fenced. I go on jogs every day and am very happy to take a pup with me! The space inside my apartment is limited but I spend most of my time outside hiking, walking and going to the park with my dog (an 8ib chihuahua mix). My dog is very friendly with other dogs! I live with my boyfriend, I call him the animal whisperer because I've never met an animal that didn't go right up to him. The most important thing for my lifestyle is if your dog will play well with my small dog, (does not apply for walks or short term visits/day care).

Caroline was fantastic with Knightley. He is reactive on leash with other dogs, and she was very patient with him. I will absolutely be asking her to walk Knightley in the future!

Caroline was awesome! She was flexible, accessible, and had a very trustworthy nature. Our dog Nova felt right at home with her and her little dog. Caroline sent us pictures and videos of Nova throughout her stay, which we loved. She is definitely going to be staying with Caroline again!

Excellent! Caroline took great care of our Augie and gave us updates on how he was doing, with pictures and videos. He was nervous to go to a new home without us the first time, but the second time he was excited to go!

Caroline is awesome! She is great with Neo, who has lots of anxiety and isn’t the easiest dog to walk. We definitely ask her to take care of him anytime we need someone!

Information Caroline R. would like to know about your pet

No breed preference! I would like to know how fit a pup is because I wouldn't want to try to take a dog on a hike that will be too much for him/her. It will also be important to know their play style for when we go to a park. Of course, any medical concerns (e.g. my dog has a collapsing trachea so she NEVER wears her leash on her collar...). For overnight stays I require a meet n greet to see how your dog will interact with mine.

A typical day

Two large parks near my house as well as some creek paths! I LOVE hiking and going to the dog park as much as possible and I jog every day. Nala loves catch so we will be playing with toys and/or the hose in my yard.
