Professional and Experienced Fun!

Pet care experience

Long fur or no fur, feathers or scales- I love them all! No pet is too big or too strange for me to care for. With over ten years of professional experience in the dog world, I can help out most anyone looking for boarding! I am a professional dog trainer who has been apart of the Rover team for many years! I have a passion for helping owners and their pups, whether through providing a safe place for them to stay while you're away, training and behavior education, all the way to helping long-time clients pick out their new family member! If you're interested in having your pup trained while with me, let me know when you request a stay and we can adjust rates! With a half-acre yard secured by a six foot privacy fence, there is plenty of room for rough-housing, games of fetch, splashing in a sprinkler, and more! We also have a comfy, cozy living room for guests that may prefer something a little calmer or laid back! With a big, fluffy couch to cuddle on, plenty of dog cots and cushy beds, and tons of room to roll around on a furry, cushioned carpet, there is something here for every personality to enjoy. Puppy blues? No problem! Unlike most, I have years of experience raising and training puppies from all walks of life. Crate training, potty training, nipping, jumping, you name it and I have trained it! Puppies are my absolute favorite and I do NOT charge extra for their special care. As long as they are up-to-date on their vaccines they are a welcomed guest! I do prefer to use crates for all dogs in the home, so if your pup is already crate trained- awesome! If not, no problem. I would be happy to offer a trial day for your pup to see how they may do when crated, as well as to get to know them and build their comfort and familiarity with my pups and myself! I tend to welcome a handful of dogs at a time, if you're hesitant about your pup being in play-groups or staying in a home with multiple dogs, feel free to be open about your expectations with me! I want you, and your pup, to feel comfortable and heard. The last thing I want is for expectations to not be met, or have you feel any uncertainty at all! Our home is dog-oriented, active, and always playing and having fun, but if you're looking for something a little more quiet or lowkey, that is always fine and I am happy to talk through it! Please let me know if you have any questions, and if you want to reach out and set up a stay do not hesitate!

Caroline was great!! I am usually very worried the whole time I’m away from my dogs but I had no fears that they were having fun and in good care! She was very good about keeping in touch with me and we will definitely use her in the future!

Safety, trust & environment

I treat all pups like my own. I have a passion for helping dogs find what they truly enjoy, whether that be "herding" toys, fetching balls, napping on the couch, or watching me eat dinner! I want all dogs to be fulfilled, getting to do what they desire, within reason! Safety is my number one priority. As much as I want to have all dogs, including my own, run free 24/7, it scares me to know there are so many preventable mistakes that could happen. Crates, fences, and leashes will always be in my life, my own pups' lives, and all of my guests in the future!

Information Caroline P. would like to know about your pet

How does your pup get along with other dogs of different sizes and genders? Is your pup crate trained? How does your pup do in the yard, do they like to play chase to avoid coming inside? Do they try to jump fences? Is your pup allowed on the furniture at home? I want to make sure to follow your rules!

A typical day

Play time, movie time, fetch, tug, cuddling, photo shoots, rough housing, napping, any activity you can think of your pup may enjoy, I am happy to try out, or I already do it daily! I keep our days fun, activity filled, and safe.

Our day starts with potty breaks and play time for every pup in the home, even if it is just mine! We like to roll out of bed between 7-8:30, but some guests like to sleep in, and that's okay! Once everyone has pottied and had their morning-zoomies (dog coffee!) it is breakfast time with a short break while I get my breakfast and coffee! I am cautious about upset tummies, and especially bloat. Meals are always followed by 30-60 minute breaks in the crate or living room. Once everyone has had time for their food to digest, we go out for play and potty time, this is when the fun and activities can really begin. We spend the rest of the day playing, doing activities like fetch, playing in sprinklers, wearing funny hats, and photo shoot time! Pups will alternate in and out of their designated crates throughout the day depending on their activity level and the schedule. For the most part, they spend about 1-2 hours out of the crate, then nap in their crate for 30-60 mins, then back to play time! Over the years I have found that this schedule keeps everyone exercised and happy without causing stress from over-excitement. I want your best friend to be tired, but not exhausted! In the evening we feed dinner and everyone gets to nap in their crate for a bit, then we get to go out for potty time and have one last, big play/hang out session inside! Around 10-11 we go out for the last potty break, and everyone gets to go to bed after a long, fun-filled day, ready to do it again the next!
