I have been working with animals for several years now. The majority of my experience has been in caring for dogs and cats, though I have had some experience with rodents, snakes, and farm animals. Growing up, I basically lived on a farm. My family had 2 dogs, 5 cats, 2 rats, and a snake. This was heaven for me, and this is what sparked my love for animals. If people don't know anything else about me, they know that I love animals, so, eventually, friends and acquaintances were reaching out to me and asking if I could pet sit for them. I considered this a dream job. Along with pet-sitting, I also volunteered for about a year at a no kill rescue shelter. Currently, I work part-time at an animal shelter. I work at the shelter about 3 days a week, so I am looking for a job to fill in those other 2-3 days that I have off. I have had experience with giving medication to animals if that is something that you would need me to do. I truly love animals, and I believe that I am gifted in caring for and loving them.
