Pet care experience
Hi, there! 'm Caroline! Growing up, I have had experience with pets of all different kinds: birds, cats, dogs, turtles, fish, guinea pigs, frogs, and geckos! I love them all the same! My family currently a Bernedoodle, Labradoodle, and two birds that I have the privilege of caring for multiple times throughout the year. I have helped my family raise and train each of our dogs. I have bathed our dogs, walked them, fed them, and of course, done all the playing and cuddling! Personally, I have a Flatcoat Retriever, a Calico cat, a leopard gecko, and a crested gecko. I also have experience with animals with allergies and administering medications to them, as well. Growing up in this area, I am familiar with local emergency vets, but hopefully that would never have to be put to use! Most of my pet-care experience has been with my family throughout my life; however, I have house sat and dog sat for my professor, and I am an active pet sitter in the local community!
Reviews
caroline is wonderful and thorough! i have asked her to watch my cat hermie on two occasions :)
excellent!
My little Luna is typically afraid of strangers but she adored Caroline right away! I felt SO at ease knowing Luna was under Caroline's gentle and loving care. Luna barely even missed me while I was away ?
Caroline was great! She was very responsive/great communicating any changes and very sweet! Would definitely book her again!

Safety, trust & environment
Being worthy of your trust is my number one priority. I am very detail oriented, and I will always make sure that your pet(s) are given proper care, attention, and exercise if requested. I will also double check things like making sure doors are always locked before I leave a home and I will use extra caution to prevent any pet escapes for the sneaky little ones!
Information Caroline H. would like to know about your pet
Although I would love to care for any animal anywhere, I will only be able to accept clients within walking distance of my home due to health issues and car troubles! Thank you in advance for your compassion and understanding. Also, for the safety and comfort of my own pets, I am unable to board or house the pets of others in my home at this time.
A typical day
I believe that the needs of each individual pet is different, especially when it comes to dogs. On nice spring/fall days I love to walk energetic/athletic/social dogs to the nearest parks! I’ll bring some of their favorite toys, treats, and of course, bags for poops to help out our beautiful Nashville community. For less athletic animals or for animals that prefer to spend most of their time indoors, I will play with their toys with them if that’s their thing, or we can curl up and cuddle! And if your animal isn’t very fond of people whom they don’t see regularly, I can simply do the basics asked of the owner. For dogs, I will always take them outside to potty, provide food and water, and treats if provided! For cats, I will feel out the vibes and go from there, but I will always take care of litter, refresh their water, and make sure that their food bowl is full every visit. Like I said, the needs and preferences of every animal is different, and I won’t take any nervous behavior personally. My job is to simply give them as much love and care as possible during your absence.

Availability
Starting in October 2023, I will be working part-time on Mondays and Wednesdays. Due to my own health issues and having to make doctors appointments so often, my schedule has been a little wonky; luckily, however, I am an excellent communicator and will let you know right away if I will be available to care for your pet.
